I don't think Gabe was in Scranton when the Scranton Strangler started killing people. It doesn't look like that's where they're going with it, but I think it would be funny if Will Ferrell was actually the strangler. He seems crazy, and maybe he killed Deangelo Jeremetrius Vickers and stole his identity, because what white family names their kid that?

Just watched it on Hulu, then read this thread and started watching it again.
Awesomeness:
Phyllis giving away a baby when she was in highschool!
Michael throwing away his mug and then putting his "World's Best Boss 2011" Dundee on his desk, and slightly adjusting it, just like in the opening sequence, with the same camera zoom.
Michael asking Dwight about bears to distract him from being mad, grinning knowingly at the camera.
Paintball fight!
The warehouse STILL won't let Michael play with the bailer.
Jim figuring it out and keeping it quiet for Michael.
I think Angela's State Senator boyfriend is secretly gay and using Angela as a beard.
Michael having second thoughts, getting panicy, calling Holly, and she immediately makes him feel better. He truly belongs with her.
His letter to Dwight, pure awesomeness.
Excellent sendoff.

I loved how they had his last audible line to be "TWSS". Very fitting. And yes, I admit, I got a little chocked up during the Jim and Michael scene.

That was pretty much it.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned the line a laughed the hardest at last night. Something along the lines of
"Can I give you some advice Gabe...a little coverup on your Adam's apple will make it appear smaller, which will make you look less like a transvestite."
Also, did anyone else notice that Pam looked a lot more like she did in the first couple of seasons, in terms of what she was wearing. I'm not sure if that was intentional or not. Just an observation.

Yeah, that was a pretty gay looking picture

you think?
I have no idea what the hell they're attempting to do with Ferrell's character or why he was brought on in the first place. Usually you have an idea of what a character is or what he brings pretty quickly, but I still can't figure out what purpose he serves.
If anything, it just takes away from Michael leaving which seems stupid.

I was disappointed with the last couple of episodes sending him off. I wish he would have thrown eggs at Toby or something. I'll miss me some Michael Scott.

Dwight reading that letter :(

I get the feeling Andy will be named the new manager in the season finale. If Ferrell did anything in his time on the show, he made Andy more confident as a salesman and that may lead to him taking over for good. And I think that will setup Dwight vs. Andy for the remainder of the series

I really liked the letter and the paintball game. You could tell paintball was something Dwight had wanted to do for a while and Michael always said no.

They are definitely setting up Gabe for a crazy exit from the show. No way he can hang onto his job with his downhill mental swing.

I really liked it.
I loved him punking Oscar. Losing it over the scarecrow had me losing it.
I really liked the Jim/Michael scene. I loved that Michael tried to be nice for once to Toby and I find it comforting to know he will have a new nemesis in Toby's brother.
I loved how when he was crumbling and wanted to stay all it took was Holly's voice to remind him he was doing the right thing.
I thought the opening with Dwight was good and the letter was even better.
I have liked Will Ferrell up to this point but the seem to be making him completely insane which I just don't see Kathy Bates moving that character up the corporate ladder.
Overall, I really liked this episode. It had some good heartfelt moments.

The fact that Deangelo was named branch manager solely because he saved the owner's dog shows how little Sabre cares about DunderMifflin
Deangelo is insane yet he was promoted over ling time employees

Will Arnett as GOB as the new boss would be EPIC

I was just watching the episode over again. I think Phyllis is Erin's birth mother.
- They mention that Phyllis gave up her child while in high school
- They keep on bringing up how Erin doesn't know her mother
- And go back and watch the scene where Michael is talking to Erin for the last time, then they show Erin talking on the phone and how they pan to Phyllis doing the very same thing.
It may be nothing, but you never know.
