That was pretty funny.

Also, imagine going through all of those years of schooling only to have to dig shite out of someone's arse! And then getting blasted with a shite grenade.

Definitely a nurses/nurses aid job. Mrs. Iwy, an ICU RN in a level 1 trauma and teaching hospital, told me she's never once seen a doctor do a compaction. Too much dirty work for a doctor. She isn't watching the show but I show her funny or crazy scenes from it to see her reaction. When they did the two initial scoops she said "O there would be a A LOT of diarrhea coming after that." As soon as she said that the stomach started boiling over and then blasted out.

Most of the time for sure. Though some attendings or residents will have their med students do it sometimes. There are things med students learn that they never do again once they graduate because nurses do it

Caught up on season two.

If they were going to have two attendings there, it would have been better to have the guy who came in to help with the mass casualty in season one than this lady from the VA.

Louie dying 4 minutes into the episode.. tough

Ogilvy is lowkey a real twat being so nonchalant about Louie’s death.

The cancer patient sure feels like she’s about throw in the towel and ask to go on hospice and end the suffering

Santos/Garcia - I would watch these 2 get it on..

The hot dog guy… I knew that was gonna be disgusting.. I’ve learned to cover my eyes with this show

Sure seems like Robby and Al hashimi are gonna blow up at each other before this shift ends

She’s already on hospice I think. I think It’s going to introduce a discussion on euthanasia.

Dammit Louie

I feel terrible for the dead girl. There’s no way a hospital as large at Pitt doesn’t have ASL on staff 24/7.

Not sure what to think about the prisoner- you’re not supposed to get 5 star meals in the clink. Sorry you’re not getting your vegetables. Don’t be a criminal.

The blowup about the patient with the incorrect surgery history was dumb.

Really interested in the psych patient- I hope they keep that story line top of mind.

Forgot about the baby. Glad she’s doing ok.

Maybe you’re right about that.

I’m very conservative and I don’t have a problem with a physician assisted suicide/euthanasia in this sort of case. The woman is in agony and end stage. Why make her suffer?
As someone who has watched someone beg to die due to so much cancer pain, this really shouldn’t be controversial to me.

I think ol' girl gave the cancer lady enough pain meds to commit suicide.
Louie had the wife boohooing.
They are going to find out that the prisoner is a molester or something. Sets up a moral crisis.
Psych patient seems to be schizophrenic. It is pretty common for it to appear around college age.

She's been wanting to die for a while. When she told her husband to go home it was pretty clear she isn't seeing him again. She is on the way out.

I was fur sure tearing up when Doc told the story about losing his wife in the car crash. Obviously why he became a big drinker. No more sorrows for Louie though, that's one good thing.

Thought it was pretty lame when they first brought him in and the security guard was like "I CANT UNLOCK HIM HE IS A DANGER TO US ALL!" The dude couldn't move and barely could talk. Gtfo. One of the more unrealistic things a very realistic show has done. I don't have any problem with them keeping him to get some proper care. Just because you're in prison doesn't mean you should be malnourished.

Very. And just call. Why are you coming all the way down there to tell about a few mistakes. I mean obviously story telling wise I get it because they are setting up the AI problems but just make a call, don't come down to a different unit of the hospital to scream about a typo.

The sign language lady is the one I feel bad for. Pretty unacceptable care on the hospitals part. And Santos is really slacking off. Charting has got her neglecting duties. Should have spent more time with the deaf patient not giving up so quickly. She could have asked a lot more questions to try and get something out of her.

This episode was a pretty good tip of the cap to nurses/nurse practitioners. They did A LOT this episode and the doctors were complimentary to them all episode.

Yeah I thought that as well. Reason she wanted the husband to go home ahead of her. I think her and her personal nurse discussed something in his absence.

Yea the baby story line was the first episode and I feel like they are reminding us about it at this point of the season for some "twist" or story of some kind late in the season

Didn’t they show deaf lady watching someone taking baby to the bathroom?

Upstairs doc probably called Robby to figure it out casually and he told her to come down and make a scene once he realized it was the AI.

And Santos was on his shite list, so it was a two for one opportunity to make a point!

Another solid episode

Shite is about to get crazy now that the system has gone down.

Some highlights for me

1) Joy seems like she’s been sandbagging with her own knowledge and skills schooling that prick Ogilvy. Loved to see it

2) al hashimi has MS or PTSD or something going on with her panicked call to her neurologist

3) Dr Jack Abbott is the man. I’d watch his spinoff of SWAT team field medicine

4) great moment between Mel ( who’s been downplayed so far this season) and Robbie with his complement to her. Mel is an angel and she’s so good

5) Langdon/Robby elevator was tenseeee
6) the rape kit scene with Dana and Emma was well done. Dana is a good nurse
7)quick shot there at the end of Santos and her seemingly old and healed thigh cutting scars. Maybe nothing .
8) feel bad for the deaf woman who can’t get any answers or finally a translator . Hope her lingering around doesn’t have a bad outcome due to not getting help

I noticed that, too. She’s definitely anxious- I could see that being a part of her story. Her getting that baby to sleep was pretty awesome- she’s got a great voice. Maybe she ends up going towards peds.

Rape kit was well done- it slowed the pace of the episode, which was different. Dana clearly could relate to the poor girl.

Glad Rabi gave Langdon a little rope on the boat patient- looks like that’s the beginning of their arc back up.

I hope we don’t see the DKA patient in a body bag- I feel like that’s where he’s headed, though.

Feel like this is obviously coming. Especially with the theme of Santos making mistakes and being more worried about her charting than her patients.

They're definitely hinting at PTSD with the reference to the hospital bombing and her military service background. But the call to neuro suggests something more physical and less psychological.
