Apparently it was a team that found it and there was a cash sniffing dog that went crazy outside of the house and then found the money inside. But whatever. It was worth a watch.

If we wanna start nitpicking movies taking liberties on real events/true stories, we will be here all day.

It was good. I think solid 7.5/10.

The real event it’s based on is a cop finding a large amount of money in a house and having to count it and being nervous. That’s it.

In the Rogan interview mentioned above, Affleck said that he built the Nun scene around the story of a real life robber in prison he interviewed in jail when trying to evolve a movie plot that resulted in The Town.

Watched it last night. I thought it was very, very good. Writing is superb. Lot's of plot twist, and just when you think you've got it figured out...nope! Actions scenes were spot on too.

The plot twists were weak. It was obvious DEA guy was dirty from jump.

I thought it was a solid Netflix action movie. Affleck in particular was really good.

I was reading that Netflix explicitly told the writers to constantly write dialogue where the characters lay out the plot in exposition because they expected people to watch this in the background as they did other things.

I thought it was fine. Kept me guessing who the dirty cop was.

It was good enough. The only part that really had me shaking my head was the roadblock at the end. The driver even said he didn’t know which way to go then just happened to drive down the wrong side street.

My biggest beef was the FaceTime with the Cartel boss and they only had one lookout for $20 million in cash? Haha

But I actually enjoyed it. 2 hours of mindless fun. Affleck was good in it.

I thought it was pretty obvious because the Matt Damon character with the son dying of cancer made him way too sympathetic and Ben Affleck was too likable as a character

And they didn't pay enough attention to the women in the development and screen time alone

him using the phone after all had been collected
dead giveaway

Movie was solid af. Glenn from walking dead did a great job in this one. Watched most of their JRE interview. The crew has incentives based on the movies performance, thought that was pretty cool of them to do.

Thought it was predictable. When they were leaving to head to the house and Damon was giving everyone different amounts, I knew he was setting them up.

I thought it was still decent.

How would that have helped the movie?

The plot made no sense to me. Why do they have to count the money at the site? So they can be accountable to themselves? What's to stop them from counting/turning in 1 million and then keeping the other 19 for themselves?if that was an actual law it is dumb AF.
