Not a horse but not unheard of for zombies to eat animals LINK

they stayed true to the graphic novel pretty well. the shot with the wall of zombies and the horse raring up was straight off the comic.

thing about The Walking Dead is each issue is worse (situation wise) than the previous one. shite's gonna get pretty fricking awful if they hold to storyline in the graphic novel. Can't wait to see these characters develop.

Not really. Just a crazy as hell, shocking opening scene where he shoots a little girl zombie.

What was the whole deal of going to back to shoot the zombie cut in half?

I figure it was just an emotional thing. Set the living apart from the dead. In a post-apocolyptic zombie world, you have to hold onto what it is that makes you human. Mercy is one of those things.

Also, it was probably in the graphic novel.

I doubt it ever gets addressed again, but it was definitely a good way to set the tone for the series.

It really could have been. The zombies looked badass, the acting was pretty damn good, and the gunshot wounds looked very damn realistic. I really can't wait for the rest of this series. It has been a while since I was this excited about a TV series.

The pilot was as good as any zombie movie in recent history, and glad to see zombies in a non comedic fashion.

*The half-zombie is one of the most impressive FX zombie's I've ever seen.
