They'd have to borrow that quantum computer over in Starkville to do the CGI.

I’ve been hard on this show the last two seasons but they’ve nailed the last half of this season
The past month has been terrific writing and acting. I bet they submit tonight or last weeks episode for an Emmy
Well done

I thought it was a pretty meh episode honestly. I expected way more especially with how good the last few have been.
I don’t understand the random family tie in. I guess it was the Alzheimer’s???? Or perhaps there will be a spin off with them

The doc was busy saving the kids life after the car wreck so he wasn’t there for Jack and felt like if he would have been Jack wouldn’t have died.
So Jack’s life was sacrificed for the kid. Who almost cured cancer, but didn’t, but cured Alzheimer’s on accident. Because Jack wouldn’t die for anything less.

I thought it was going to be Deja’s significant other. I got confused when she said Malik, not Marcus. It wasn’t nearly as sad as Miguel’s episode, but I wasn’t expecting that. I guess next week will tie up all the bows

The Doctor is one of the all time best Heat check characters. Comes off the bench for just a couple of minutes a season if we’re lucky and just crushes
I liked Tobys goodbye and Beth.. Beth has vaulted up my list of favorite characters on the show.
Good episode. They have really redeemed this season with the last few episodes .

Beth's goodbye got me choked up.
The train was an amazing device to use for the experience. All of the Easter eggs were pretty amazing.

Last chance to really doll her up. Randall keeps saying dichotomy. That was the main dichotomy.
Using an old school train was an awesome idea. It began and I thought she was waiting on her father, but later it’s Kate. Kate arriving allows her to reach back to squeeze Randall’s hand. Which was the part that got me. Allowing every version of the kids to be together was also a very nice touch.
The caboose being the end and being her happiest time in life. Just a random morning with Jack. Very well done. Could be heaven. Could be about the minds journey to its end. But non committal. Which was good also.

Mandy Moore is always beautiful, but that scene in the bar car where’s she’s talking to the Dr, she looked absolutely amazing.

The train was the perfect way to do this.
The episode hit hard, I knew it would. I lost my mom in 2019 and sat with her through hospice. So it just brings back so many memories.
And the I'm waiting for someone comment.
My dad and I had a falling out but made amends. We hadn't seen eachother in a year or so, but when we did he passed that night. His doctor said he was fine and would be out of the hospital the next day, but he never got that far. My mom always told me he was waiting for me.
If something makes you sad in when it ends, it must have been pretty wonderful when it was happening. Well said William.

I paused the episode when he said that. Let it marinate for just a moment.
I guess I’d never thought of something so simple like that but it was powerful

The train was perfect and at first gave me LOST finale vibes. I thought they were going to all be there dead meeting up one final time.
I’ve always wondered when people lose a spouse and get remarried. Which one are they with in the afterlife? Miguel was chopped liver lol.

Yeah, it seemed like they portrayed Rebecca to not even realize she had a marital relationship with him. When he stated how good she looked and it was always her, she looked puzzled. Then, very abruptly and almost seemingly sternly, William tells her to keep moving. It seemed almost as if that scene was set up to crap on Miguel a little bit or to not allow Rebecca to even relate or comment on him much. It was like as soon as she started to think about why Miguel would make such an odd comment and was maybe about to remember they were married, she was cut off purposely and forced to move forward. Odd scene but the episode as a whole was damn good.

Why not both? Who says it can't be both...
Or maybe there's an understanding. I loved you, and we had our time, but I need to go where I belong and you do too.
I really wish they had done a scene with Miguel reconciling with his kids. We saw that they did, but we didn't see how. I just envision his kids telling him he was a bad/absent father and Miguel explaining to them how he grew up poor and thought providing for them by working long hours was him being a good father and that if he could go back he would, and that maybe he made a mistake but he did it out of love.
Miguel was a better character than they made him out to be.
Now that I think about it, they should have had Rebecca say "Miguel..." as if she's torn, knowing she can't stay with him.
And he says it's okay. We had our time.... and he let's her go.
