did she lose the weight after she taped the show? is this real?
Pretty sure that is fake. That black dress photo has been out there a while. She was on awards shows last fall and was still huge.
The original plan was for her to lose weight. She was originally happy to have it in her contract. Then all the people that think it's fine to stay unhealthy or that you can be healthy at that weight came out of the woodwork and they changed the contract. I believe she had originally planned on surgery and then never did it.
Good Housekeeping story

Madison's bf is a twerp. A goober. "I'm not going anywhere." Surely they could have written a better character and found someone better to play the character.
They need an estrogen-drenched soyboi to be a hero for standing up to Alpha Male Kevin.

Yeah I did see where she was suppose to lose weight then she said it was not in her contract. I think idiotic people glorified her unhealthy fatness queen chair standing.
I was looking for what you posted earlier and saw that Toby wore a fat suit in Season 1. Fans didn't like it. But he was losing weight in real life before the show was the sudden made up story.
I also bumped into an article-- where Justin said he wants to make a movie or continue the story but not right away. Hard to tell if he was wishing or reality? It is said the cast are very close.

What does Becca tell the family in previews? She is dying?
I bet it is that she wants Kevin to care for her. He needs a purpose. He living at his sisters and bending over backwards for Madison. In the future she is clearly staying at Kevin’s place and she asked him to build that cabin. Also Sophie is a nurse correct? That would provide an in that could put them together as she could possibly help take care of Rebecca and fall in love again
This will give him purpose

Probably something like this. And if that’s what causes Kaye and Toby to break up, then she’s more insufferable than I even thought.
Kids get hurt, it’s part of life. Get them
Patched up and move on.
When I was 8 I fell off the top rung of the monkey bars and died. My dad told me to rub some dirt on it and go play. Mom checked me out, sent me back out, and brought my dad another Miller High Life.
Pussification of America escalates with each passing year.
I hope Toby finds a woman that he really deserves. And Kate chokes on a ham sandwich in slow motion while a Mammas and the Pappas song plays in the background.
Gotdamn!

They seem to be paving the way for a Sophie return for all you fans who want her back in the picture.

That, and Alexandria Breckinridge(Sophie) is a smoke show!

I love me some Alexandra Breckinridge, but can't watch Virgin River. It looks like a 30 hour Hallmark movie.

Its actually a decent show.
I also watch Sweet Magnolias w/the wife.

We watched 3 or 4 episodes waiting for the plot to form...then we realized there wasn't one

So they confirmed the theory that some of us had floated that Miguel realizes he's catching feelings for Rebecca, and he decides to move away to be closer to his kids. (Apparently it was Houston, not California. I must've misremembered). Kevin had the liquid courage to say to Miguel what we were all thinking about moving in on his best friend's widow.
We know he later sends her a Facebook message out of the blue, so they fell out of touch that entire time. (15 years later?). Timeline note: She's All That came out in 1999, and it had to be on VHS/DVD for Kate to have made a habit of watching it at home, and develop that habit of singing the Sixpence None the Richer song whenever she needed to prevent herself from devouring an entire Dunkin Donuts. Additionally, Facebook wasn't available for non-college students until late 2006/2007.
Fogleman said by the time the whole story is told, we're going to fall in love with Miguel, but I'm not seeing it yet.

It was a decent episode
I was kind of surprised Rebecca chose Kate as her executor. Figured it was gonna be Randle
Kate/Toby feel like they’re gonna have a WWE match in every scene together. That marriage is ending quickly

Anyone remember seeing Kate in a "future" scene? I'm starting to wonder if they don't kill her off early.

They’ve yet to show her in the big flashforward scene of rebeccas deathbed. I think it’s on purpose because they want people to think she might die before it gets to that point.
But I think it’s a red herring and they’ll want it to be a happyish ending with the big 3 all being there as she dies
Hopefully Kate rolls up to that scene and is like “uhh sorry Kev, the chocolate fountain at Golden Corral was clogged up, that’s what took so long”

This.
These are the same folks who let us think for a year that Beth and Randall were divorced at that same time

Toby is wrong about one thing- it isn’t genetics with them. Clearly Kate has always had some mental issue with food.
It’ll be really ridiculous to see a 400lb 55 year old Kate at her mom’s death bed. It’ll be even worse to see a CGI skinny version of her.
The right thing would be for her to keel over and Toby to be raising the kids. And he is accompanying them to Becca’s last moments. But, that won’t happen.

I already like Miguel. I'm not sure there's a need to like him more. He took care of Rebecca after Jack died as a friend would. They clearly developed feelings and he left to avoid causing any trouble there. Years later, he came back into her life and married her, knowing she would never love him the way she loved Jack. He's stood by her side and is now standing by her side during this disease he knows will take her away eventually. He's sort of a silent supporter to her in a way. He doesn't speak up much, but you know he's there if he needs to. He asked about a guest house and Kevin jumped on him, apparently. Rebecca addressed it in a strong way. I hope he doesn't die before she does. I don't think they've shown us who all will be with Rebecca when she dies. I think we're going to see some other folks.
I wasn't surprised Rebecca picked Kate, but probably for some reasons not intended by the show. Mothers and daughters have special bonds. I've seen with friends who have had mothers who have been ill or had dementia. They love their sons, but they want their daughters. Kate is also only a back up and I don't think Rebecca really expects her to have to step in.
As far as the show's intentions, Randle has had anxiety issues. Kevin has had plenty of issues. They butted heads already when Rebecca first became diagnosed as I recall. Didn't they not speak for a while? Not one of them seems to be emotionally equipped for the job, honestly, but she had to pick someone.
The Toby and Kate story is getting old. Enough already. Let them get divorced and move on with the show.
How many episodes left? I'm ready for this to all end. I hope we don't have to see more filler episodes.
