Looks like the story will be similar to Spartacus. Hopefully the Coliseum action will be good.
I got a year of peacock during the US Open for $20 (Olympics are gonna be on there also), so I figured I might as well check this out.

A lot of reviewers shite on this show but I have to say - I really enjoyed it. I just finished the last episode.
It is basically a Roman Peaky Blinders with Iwan Rheon (guy who played Ramsey Bolton) as the Thomas Shelby type character.

It desperately wants to be Game of Thrones. The focus on the Circus Maximus is interesting, but the writing and acting is just uninteresting IMO. Anthony Hopkins made his money- good for him and sad for us. None of the personal intrigue of Rome or Spartacus. Sad to say it's a bad soap opera with sets that are too pretty without human connection.
