Did you only play the first two Uncharted games?
You can play as young Drake in both 3 (which shows him meeting Sully) and 4 (where you see his brother leave him at an orphanage).

His age isn't the problem as they've already shown young Sully in Uncharted 3. The issue is he is about as far away from Sully as you can get in looks, acting mannerisms, speech, and general attitude.
Besides pretty much rolling with the same Boston tough guy routine in every single thing he's ever been in the dude couldn't even be bothered to grow a mustache for this movie. He was terrible casting for when he was originally going to be Drake and he is even worse casting for Sully who is much more of a Bryan Cranston/William Hurt type.
Hell, even Chris Pratt (who I would have used for Drake since they never would have gone for Fillion even though he's perfect) would be better since they are going for a younger Sully.
If Wahlberg was going to be anyone in the Uncharted universe he is way closer to being antagonist Rafe Adler from Uncharted 4.

He’s too young too. Drake was like mid 30s. Holland looks like if drake was a teenager.

the good news is how athletic he is too as the games are a lot of jumping spans and climbing which he is actually good at. Hopefully they will have a lot of practical effects and it will move smoothly.
