We do realize, do we not ... that all of this boils down to Ontology and as to whether the Hosts fit the clinical definition of "beings" or not is mute at this point.

As a matter of fact once they solved The Maze they essentially became superior beings ... in "almost" every way.

The "almost" is where this is all headed.

What's funny is how the MIB always seems to be in control. He is actually thriving in this environment as he gets it.

So will this season only advance two weeks and cover everything prior to it?

And I don't know what to make of Bernard having DNA to be able to get into that field site.

So when they arrive at the Field site they two door handles illuminated and require a DNA scan to unlock each handle, what happens if there were only one person arriving or if there were three? She unlocked one handle but could not open the door until Bernard gave his scan to unlock the second door. Why couldn’t she just put her hand to each handle? Or what if there had been three beings and only two handles to unlock?

That whole scene seemed forced and an odd way to try to introduce the DNA issue.

Maybe I should know this already, but season 1 was so long ago and I don't remember too many details regarding Bernard's status as a host. When Bernard was with the Delos team searching for all of the hosts and they scanned for host locations, for a second I thought he was going to show up right there among them and get exposed. I guess the reason he wasn't was because Ford programmed him "off the record"?

That's a little sloppy writing. Seems like they could've just put a button on the wall for DNA scanning.

Test to see if he is real? Probably overthinking it

Didn't she make a comment about the robots in there knowing he was friendly and not to be scared? Maybe there is something alerting it to the amount of people presence to get a read from all of them to enter, so if more or less people are there, the readers may require more or less DNA scans.

More than likely, sloppy writing though.

A dam in Shogunworld is my guess. Hence the washed up tiger. I'm just going to ignore the fact that the Bengal tiger is not native to Japan.

We're pretty sure Ford built the system to omit Bernard from being detected as a Host given his fairwell old friend comments to Bernard before going to his death.

However, it's not beyond reason to imagine someone else being part of the cover-up. Someone working in league with either Ford's final wishes, (Good Luck for Bernard), or Arnold's legacy vision.

That reminds me. Do we know for sure that Ellse is dead? I thought I remembered someone saying her body was discovered but then my wife claims security was talking about someone else ... the gal Bernard was banging whom he eventually killed.

They are to Asia though. The other park could be Asia instead of just Japan.

I think the tiger and the valley-sea aren't necessarily related. They saw the tiger before they did the search for the Hosts. After seeing them all clumped in one area, they had to drive away from the tiger location. We are led to believe that it was some distance away.

I think the tiger was just near a river within Westworld. They weren't like, "Hmm...this is odd...a tiger. Oh frick! Forget the tiger, where the hell did this water come from right here in front of us?" in that scene.

She could have grabbed both handles but she specifically said "I'm not going to pass you through" meaning that she wasn't going to. She was forcing him to use his DNA so the hosts inside would recognize him. I assume if there had been three people then she would have made them grab a part of the handle too, or maybe made them pass through one at a time. It's not hard to figure out.

Did the Bernard found by the water still have scar on right temple?
I went to rewatch, but the sand was covering it & haven’t been able to rewatch whole thing yet.

I think Charlotte mentioning DNA a couple of times & something about how she was asking if he was ok was to help distract him from figuring out for now she knows he is a host & that his malfunctioning is more obvious than he realizes. She didn’t seem that caring in season 1 about people or hosts (outside of taken one for a ride). She seemed to be messing with him.

See, this is where the Nolans irritate me. Instead of telling a story, they slice them up and go all Pulp Fiction. It gets old after awhile. Just tell the damn story and have some good plot twists, not these gimmicks that anyone could do with a plot.

The shot of the hosts floating was pretty staggering. Jeffrey Wright is so good. He acts everybody off the screen.

You should watch basquiat if you haven't seen it.

Also, he's great in Syriana.
