This is a nice anchor. We see MiB in flashbacks in Maeve's previous (presumably long running) build. Clementine has been the madam (player/manager style) at the Mariposa in the past.

Fascinating.

I'm not commenting on multiple timelines, but Jimmy Simpson has a pretty noticeable mole on his face that Ed Harris clearly does not.

And there is a very interesting shot at the end of episode 5 where Logan comes to the realization that William is leaving him to get his his arse kicked/killed. His eyes got real big, almost like a transformation. Again, I'm not sold on multiple timelines either way, but if anybody winds up being the MiB, I think Logan makes way more sense.

Their intelligence is limited to 14, but 14 out of what? If it is 100, Maeve is about to be insanely smart (implied in the show), at 14 she has out smarted two average intelligent human beings imagine what she would be capable of at 100.

The more I watch the show the less I'm buying the multiple timeline theories. Without going back and re-watching everything it just seems like the multiple timeline concept is creating plot holes so large that the explanations will be too outlandish to fix them.

Yeah but notice Logan starts to smile. It's as if he realizes Jimi is now buying into it.

For some reason I'm starting to have doubts that Maeve and MIB have had interactions lol.

I feel like they have, but now that I'm thinking about it, I can't remember any

So I definitely could still be wrong

Was that even what they said anyways? I only watched once so I don't know for sure but I thought they said a narrative "could" change every year and a half or so. Not that she specifically changed to that a year and a half ago.

I also don't recall the MIB talking to her.

In one of her "memories" he comes into her cabin with her daughter. I think that's the only time we've seen them together.

I believe the exact quote was that she's only been the madam of the Mariposa for "a year or so."

I started off telling myself that I didn't need to rewatch them at the beginning, but my since my girlfriend lives out of town and we see each other every other weekend typically, she just catches up at my place on the last episode and then we start the recently released one. So thanks to that, I've started rewatching the week's before.

You really do catch a lot more shite.

Just an FYI, last night's episode proved William is not MIB and for the most part that a multiple year timeline doesn't exist.

William and the MIB have both been seen in scenes and situations that had Maeve as the head of the whorehouse. The guys working with maeve confirmed she had only been in that role for a year and a half or so.

So therefore, it would be impossible for the MIB and William story arcs to be any more apart than her stay in that role.

Not saying you are wrong, but when was William shown with Maeve?

I burned through the 6 episodes in 2 days and find this show compelling. It's not GoT level great but it's very good. I'm liking all the arcs so far but the interaction between Bernard and Delores, Dr. Ford and Theresa has been especially engaging. Jeffrey Wright is a darn good actor.

I mentioned like two posts down from my original that I started thinking about it and having doubts and I so I went to the subreddit and asked and was told that they are not seen together. When William and Logan arrive at the Mariposa, Clementine is the mistress and it's some other random black chick who is next to her, not Maeve.

Definitely does not confirm multiple timelines lol, but doesn't eliminate it either.

Do you not remember when Maeve went in for recall and Stubbs says, "Have Clementine take over, she's done it before."?

That could be when William and Logan enter the park or it could have been a decade before that and Maeve wasn't there, who knows. Maybe Nolan and Abrams want everyone to think there are multiple timelines. No one knows at this point, that I'm sure of.
