Worked for me on a desktop not an iPad or phone. Thank you to OP!

So their tech support had to cancel the service as currently billed through Google Play. If I just hit the Cancel button on my own, no changes would've taken effect until the end of the billing period at the end of the month. When they do it on their end, it can go through immediately.
I signed back up using the same account, and then my Account page gave me the Manage button and I was able to take advantage of the offer without needing to do the $10/mo off for 6 months promo code from tech support.
I say all this to let the folks who don't see the offer know that it's likely because your billing may be going through the Google Play store and not from YTTV directly. Yes, it's all Google, but in this case, it makes a difference.

best service for the best price for a long time. i know so many people that loved it and have no idea why it went out.
also, this didn't work for me. when i hit "manage" i only have the option to cancel my account or pause it.
i did go ahead and cancel it because I'm going to try espn unlimited. i literally only have youtube tv for sports.

I reminded them how much more expensive they are than the competition and straight up asked them to see what they could do to keep us from going elsewhere

Yeah I’ll probably try again with another chat stooge this weekend.

I said in the chat that other users got the 6 months 10 off a month and the chat guy found it then.

I've been a subscriber for about 4+ years now. No discount for me. My billing is thru Google, tho, which seems to be the issue for some of us not getting the deal.
I contacted them thru the chat and had to get fairly forceful (as one can be thru a chat). They originally told me that I was already getting a great deal on great service.....blah blah blah. They've raised my rate 2-3 times since I joined and I told them so.
They finally offered me 2 weeks free. I told them "no thanks" and that there are plenty of streaming services with great content for cheaper. I then said I'd take $10 off per month for 6 months and be happy. They finally caved in and said yes. Gave me a promo code that doesn't work. I had to send them a screenshot to PROVE it didn't work. I told them to just apply it on their side. I was told they can't. My response was, "You're billing me. You're creating the discount code. You're giving discounts to new subscribers, but you can't figure out how to give ME, a current, loyal subscriber,a discount?"
They escalated it and are SUPPOSED to contact me soon with a resolution.
I was honestly kinda "whatever" about all this, till I got the runaround thru the chat and saw that they couldn't find their arse with both hands. That pissed me off enough to start demanding a discount and genuinely feel disrespected for getting shanked on my ever-increasing monthly bill while they coddle and cup the nuts of new subscribers.
We'll see if they do anything besides jerk me around without lube.
Pass the Tylenol.

This is basically exactly how I felt. I’m sort of determined now.
It reminded me of the whole song and dance I used to have to do every year with Sirius XM, back when I had it, and now our internet provider every couple of years when the increases get to a point where I’m like, hold up, frick you. Lol

I actually got extremely lucky with XM. I paid for a lifetime subscription back in 2008 in about 5 monthly installments. Cost about $700, if I recall.
I have their complete channel lineup and haven't paid a dime since the end of 2008.
Shazam!

Just received an email back from YouTube TV.
They said that after further research, it was determined that my code or any discounts weren't available to me, due to my billing being thru Google Play.
They advised me to finish my billing cycle and then cancel my subscription. Then I could resubscribe and be eligible.
What a circus.

My guy yesterday was completely cool about them having to immediately cancel the current subscription so I could sign back up, even offering to continue offline and he'd email me when it was ready to resubscribe so I could apply the discount.

Just canceled YTTV ends on 9/27 and I will renew hopefully with the discount on that day.
