Any pawn stores in the metro area that keep good stock, or should I just go straight to new?

Any sort of idea on what you might be looking for?

Don’t know about amps specifically but worth giving Webb’s in Bywater a call and seeing what they have

First amp. Something for home use but loud enough to play with someone else.
Fender Blues Deluxe?

The big questions are what is your budget and if you prefer tube or solid state.

Hey fret, not to highjack this thread but do you have any thoughts about the new gen 3 boss katana amps?

I haven't tried the 3 but the Katanas in general are my recommendation on a post like this, for both price, features, portability, maintenance, and pure tone.

Gotcha, thanks for the response. I love my boss katana 50 watt MK II. I am getting better as a player and I want some more preset channels so I am thinking of upgrading to the gen 3 artist series.
I want a tube amp but I feel like I’m not that good yet so I’m gonna stick with the katanas.

Not sure…500-1000?
Most probably solid state given I only started playing this year.

I'll Echoplex myself ... my vote is Boss Katana. You will never outgrow its usefulness.
