I'm just watching what youtube suggests.
It's all good, but yall might have more suggestions..
This is my kind of stuff.
He really likes doing videos in the Palo Duro Canyon, with the red telephone always waiting. Hotline with the devil I guess.
Right mixture of Country Western, Jazz and Blues. He makes it work so well.
Van Morrison meets Bob Wills.
, and I've never typed " arse" in my life until now, and it's still stupid.
Can't say "arse"? What kind of crap is that?

I had never heard of her before. Looks like she has a whole 1 song with a lot of different videos for it.
You mentioned "the real deal" though, what are we talking about here?
Charley Crockett might be a wannabee fake video cowboy, just playing a role, but he has a lot of good music out there and he is a legitimate picker/ singer. That's all I care about. Does he write all of his own stuff? I don't know.

She has four albums out. And what i mean by real deal is authentic country that is actually good.

Charley's live shows are great too. Seen him a couple of times now, never disappoints.

I saw him open in BR for the Turnpike Troubadours and was pleasantly surprised. Very entertaining.

I've posted this before but I used to go see him at bars around Dallas when only 10 people were there. One night he was breaking in a new band and had to turn around and tell them the chords for the next song. My wife takes credit for Charley's success as she turned my brother on to him and Charley opened for him a few times and eventually signed with the same management company my brother was using at the time. Now my brother opens for Charley.

He might not be a cowboy in the traditional sense, but I dont think he's a poser. Born in San Benito, Texas, grew up poor, had a few run-ins with the law, and used to ride trains across the country. Seems as about real as you can get. He's also apparently a descendant from Davy Crockett as well.

Agreed. He's not a poser in the slightest.

*He just did a bunch of shows with $10 tickets. Who does that anymore?

He does restrain his vocal range now vs. when he was starting out and doing more blues R&B. Most people that saw him back then think he was better singer than he is now. But I think he is just using his voice in a way that fits the style songs he is singing these days.

Well, a very limited number of tix were $10 used as a promotional gimmick for his new album "$10 Cowboy."

Yea, that's his story and he's sticking to it.

He surprise dropped a new album a couple of days ago called Visions of Dallas. It's basically the second set of songs from the $10 Dollar Cowboy sessions.

"Loretta" is a highlight for me.
