Great choice on the Earl Thomas Conley song.

What I'd Say was the third of four straight number ones off his Heart of the Matter album. What She Is (Is A Woman In Love), We Belive in Happy Endings (duet with Emmylou Harris), What I'd Say, and Love Out Loud.

Just went and looked at his singles discography - starting in 1983 with his Don't Make It Easy for Me album, he had 16 of 17 singles go #1, with the one that didn't peaking at #2.
