2025 has been a solid year for music so far, especially on the fringes. Lord Huron's Cosmic Selector Vol. 1, Fust's Big Ugly or Turnpike Troubadours The Price of Admission were all in contention for my current favorite of the year, but man this album I think might have blasted through all three.
I think most people here would enjoy it. I'm not a Grateful Dead/Jam Band fan, but that's probably the main influence. There's a little Bluegrass though, a little southern rock, some classic country threads. Just an all around stellar album. As a lead singer, a he's not super great, but it works.

yes he’s super charismatic and obviously can play. His band is also very tight. They put on a great show
When he comes around, don’t miss them

New album is great, I listen to DD shows all the time on bandcamp.

Track is Gram Parsons-esque

Yeah, Sweetheart of the Rodeo. Gram had a better voice but the playing is really good.

Used to see him almost nightly in Nashville when he played in one of the bands at Roberts.
