My guilty pleasure is Amy Grant, specifically these two albums: Unguarded and Heart in Motion. . Pure 80s schlock. But for some reason, it always gives me a pickup, even though this is “Christian music” and I’m not really a believer.

Is Fleetwood Mac a guilty pleasure?
Fleetwood Mac is one of the most iconic bands ever and put out one of the best albums ever
I would not count them as a guilty pleasure. Just intelligent listening. ''

Like to watch the pairing of Robert Palmer’s “Addicted To Love” video followed by Shania Twain’s homage video of “I Feel Like A Woman.”
Fun watching the contrasting sameness

I joined the Marines in Feb 97, after you graduate basic training you get your home leave for a couple weeks then go back to do Infantry training. Towards the end, after a long hump the Platoon Corporal allowed us to go to the PX (Store) and a few of us ran late so he lined us up and wanted to look in our bags to see what was worth taking so fkn long.
First few guys just random stuff, then the guy ahead of me empties out his bag and front n center in front of eveybody was the fkn Jewel CD. The Corporal ripped his shite up and down for a good 4 minutes meanwhile Im just standing there like oh shite, im next. He gets to me and says Let me guess, fkn Jewel? No, Corporal. Then what? I got Wu-Tang Clan. A black Sgt is standing beside me and he yells What the fk do you know about Wu-Tang? Before I could answer, He looks at the Corporal and with a big grin slaps me on the shoulder, laughs and says He can go.
I ran back to formation while the Dude with the Jewel CD was still doing pushups in front of everybody

Slaughter - Fly to the Angels.
My childhood best friend died in a housefire when we were young, this song makes me think of her.

Pretty pathetic, knowing that Jewel has had more talented bowel movements than the talent that the entire Wu-Tang Clan posseses.

In a platoon of over 50 infantrymen, you dont wanna be the guy who openly proclaimed his love for Jewel

My late wife bought that, and I rolled my eyes. I ended up liking a good bit of it.
