Man, you've got to get some better recordings done.
I think you are doing some good writing and there is probably a niche for it, but it takes a good demo to sell a song. I think you have the right type of mindset to pull it off too. You seem to understand the lyrical hooks, tight writing around the theme, how to tie the cliches together etc..but..
I've never seen an unknown have a successful song in recent years, without a good demo.
The industry people like to claim that they can pick out a great song on an awful recording, but I haven't seen it happen yet.
There are always several songwriting contests going on and you can listen to the finalist songs. Never a terrible recording. Mostly crappy songs IMHO, but the demos are usually pretty good.

I’m gonna try to go look at guitar center and see what they got to make me sound better
I’ll put up another song later too

You can do whatever you want to do, but it's always about making that next step. You can do it.
Edit to add: I really Like that BIG Red song, could you type the words for that?
A friend of mine who just died a little while back, worked for them all over the world.
He would have loved it.
He was my very first friend and we met in church before we ever even started school.
He was the only person that I would talk to much on the phone, because we could constantly give each other shite and laugh about it.

I’m trying to get a better recording for the next ones with an interface and my voice is still kinda shot. I’ll go re record the old ones when I get things in place
They don’t tell you nothing on them paper tests about how you get shot at how you wear a vest
About how the desert heat can fry an egg
While you’re prayin that the well cement correctly sets
And when I get home I’m gonna kiss the ground
If we can get her capped off and put the fire out
Tired staying away leaving you alone
But they’ll call me back out as soon as I get home
They send to Afghanistan to put out fires caused by the taliban
And if I don’t drag or wind up dead
I’ll be working for big red
Gotta always be wary of the pirate ships
Better pay attention to your radar blips
And if you come up too fast you’ll get the bends
hope the black water hand has got your 6
I’m gonna take you out dancing when I get leave
Trade this wet suit for Pearl snaps and jeans
Hold you close spin you a round
Get on a plan and head back out
They send me off the coast of Mozambique
To seal up an underwater pipeline leak
If I don’t drag or wind up dead
I’ll be working for big red
In every conflict before the dust all clears
There’s gonna be Halliburton engineer
To pick up the pieces and set them back right
Because the oil from the ground sustains our life
I don’t take a stance I don’t complain
Ima grab my bags and get on the plane
see you back round when things are undestroyed
If there was peace on earth I’d be unemployed
They gonna send me off to the Baltic Sea
To get the gas flowing back to Germany
If I don’t drag or wind up dead
I’ll be working for big red
I kinda just write these in notes on my phone sorry about the lack of formatting
ETA: thanks for hanging in there baw ima try to get you a good recording soon

you've spent a decade shitting on every board, ruining threads, pissing people off, and being a schmuck. Hope no one does that to you here.

If you get enough songs together, you should consider coming to Shreveport and playing at the Louisiana Grandstand. It is a small venue but a good place for a new musician to try out some stuff.
One artist played there and her performance led to a contract with a producer in L.A.

You're the next swamp pop legend. For those downvoting, I think the songs will sound much better when not recorded in a motel bathroom.
Seriously enjoy some of it; keep it up man. I would go see yall play if I was over there.
