What exactly do you hate about it?

I'd love to know what he hates about it too. Pretty strong words for such a great production.

Id rather not pay that much to get in, but it is all worth it to me

My wife and I absolutely love Jazz Fest. Sure there are some annoying people but that's expected for anywhere you have crowds. What's not to f'n like about great music and amazing food?

We usually make about 5 days a year. We NEVER buy tickets in advance. Always buy on Craigslist the day before. Ends up being about half the cost for us that way.

i mean i'm sure everyone would love to pay less, but anyone who complains about $45 bucks a day (if you buy ahead of time) being too much needs to think again. it's one of (if not) the cheapest festivals out there that isn't completely free. and on top of it, it's probably one of the best in the world. i'd pay 45 to see just Foo, and i got to see Galactic, too.

ETA: i'd also like to know why Fun Bunch doesn't dig it too much

I absolutely love Jazz Fest--enjoy whatever you do those weekends.

As far as the Foo's comments about basic garage rock as opposed to "over-producing" and computers, they went on that same rant at the Grammies. Great set!

Very odd for them not to do that - there's also only one single picture from the performance!

Then again, I could understand being too freaking hot to want to be out there to review it. It was pretty horrid.

Keith Spera should have all-access passes at this point. he could have been sitting in the shade of the grandstand or possibly even on the stage. no excuse, unless somehow the Foo made it so that they couldn't be photographed or reviewed. or something.

ETA: they reviewed Bonnie, and she played at the same time as Foo. definitely no excuse.

True, he should have had access to something, no question about it.

Paid - $20 park
Bought ticket on street for Sunday - $40
Shell Suite - food and drinks - free
Miller Lite Tent - beer, nice scene - free
Coke tent - free ice and a clean pisser - free
I spent $0 inside the fairgrounds.

= killer Foo show

How do you not have a free ticket if you're getting into the Shell suite for free?

Free ticket are for Shell emplyoees, I am a Shell contractor, no free ticket into Jazfest, but I could bring up to 4 guests into suite. Then my buddies who are in the food business got the Miller and Coke passes.

I have been paying full price for years, first time I was able to swing all the passes on the same day.

I didn't know anything about them, but enjoyed the first part of their show. Slid off to check Bonnie Raitt .. mistake. Too many old people.

I wish more people didn't like Jazz Fest. Acura stage is starting to get a bit crowded.
