Seems like No Surrender is more about SVZ (to me at least)...but maybe Bobby Jean too...both songs seem to touch on the same themes.

I will say I don't think Bruce has ever confirmed it one way or another, but it is widely accepted as being about Steven leaving the E-street band... I know Steven was insistent No Surrender being included on Born in the USA...
By the way, if you haven't read this book that came out this year by Steven Hyden There Was Nothing You Could Do: Bruce Springsteen’s “Born In The U.S.A.” and the End of the Heartland it is really good... deep dive into the record, as well as its fit in the overall historical context of the times...
