Band that's good but not as good as people think:
Nirvana. Just not that original. What did they do that's not some combination of Mudhoney and Husker Du?
Band that sucks and yet remains inexplicably popular:
Journey. God they suck, so hard and in so many ways. Among them: lyrical laziness. There's no such place as "south Detroit" shiteheads--that would be Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

Listen to early Journey when they were more of a spin-off of Carlos Santana's band and before they became milquetoast radio fare.

The original lineup that lasted a decade or so cranked out some damn fine music, one of the GOAT albums ((Destroyer), and redefined arena rock shows.
The KISS cover bamd we’ve seen for most of the past 4 decades that followed are another story.
