If you search the web seeking unbiased reviews on any reputable pickup maker or model by name, "Darth Phineas" will likely top your Google search results, and for very, very good reason. An anonymous industry insider with a wealth of solid knowledge and experience, "Darth" tests pickups in real guitars and with real LCR meters, and shares spec/tech data along with his opinions on overall tone, feel, materials and build quality et al.

For years, Darth has been MY most valuable web resource when looking for the lowdown on guitar pickups. As excited as I was to finally meet and spend quality time with him at the Dallas International Guitar Festival a few weeks ago, I was even more honored Darth was impressed enough with our product to take a few back to his Death Star for extensive testing.

Now I'm proud to say our "Hades" high output rock humbucker earned a review and a great one!

Also nice that my surrogate sons who double as Carondelet artists, Logan, Dylan and Taylor with NOLA's Green Gasoline, earned some space in the review too.

Darth's audience is 4.1M web page views yearly between his blog and his social media presence.

Edited to add eye candy - I fabricate demo guitars so clients can test-drive all our pickup offerings for themselves. Here are the shop's two Hades humbucker demo guitars ...

I'm gonna order a set of his P90 telly pickups tomorrow. Hopin he will throw in one of his headstock stickers. It's a pretty cool looking logo.

Damn good eyes and observations ...

Our font intentionally reflects a post-WWII Eisenhower era prosperity meets golden oldies nostalgia vibe -- EXACTLY like we peeled our logo off the tailfin of one of Detroit's finest sedans 70 years ago.

The logo not only looks classy and chic, it's the same exact era of the introduction and proliferation of Fender and Gibson's solidbody electric guitars.

And more specifically, Fender and Gibson's combined pickup catalog from that era. It's truly amazing that in our rapidly evolving technological world, the P-90 and humbucker, Tele and Strat and P- and Jazz Bass coils, et al, remain the benchmark of electronic guitar transducer designs and performance 70+ years later. Since those designs are kinda frozen in time, our logo is too.

That's great. I've determined I'm probably going to need 4 when the time is right

Bridge and neck for a 6 string and a bridge and neck for a 7. Looking forward to when that can happen.

Love my pickups hotter than hell.

auggie and Clint, I'm unavailable for a few days but call me next week (Google "The Fret Shack" for the number). I can get your orders on my winding list for June in front of the regular waiting list. No deposits needed.

Sounds good, have a good weekend, talk to you next week.
In the meantime, I think I will go on and order a set of Fender Twisted Telly pickups today for one of my thinlines, really love the way the demos sound. Anybody else tried them?

Alright, that sounds great.

I was thinking about putting them in an 82' explorer or a 1990 jackson rhoads pro. Wanting to repaint whichever one cream/white sparkle.

I'm all about real craftsmen being recognized.

Keep it going, sir. It's not the most rock and roll of times, but good to see people like you are keeping that foundation steady.

Do it, and give us a demo.

I may do something. Ive been busy lately writing new shite that I guess..has been inspired by music from the bands of the 80s and 90s PNW. Living here now for a few years has in ways given me a different pov. Travel is important, helps broaden the mind imo.

If you do a demo, Clint, I can host it on Carondelet's YouTube page. https://www.youtube.com/@CarondeletPickups

It doesn't have to be a pro video, most of what you see on my channel I shot with my Android. I've found overproducing audio is counterproductive - keep the clip clear and simple for maximum tone representation and effectiveness.

Speaking of demo vid, auggie, here's Carondelet artist Seth LeCoq with my primary off-the-rack Tele set. To compare with the Twisted Tele pickups you like.

Thinking about stuff now, I need a better little amp, and the guitars that are just right.

Congrats. You do good wook. You have worked on one of mine... But Ican't say which one, or it would be a give away. I love it. It feels and plays so much better.
