wonder if a much better "Eagles" experience these days would be the Don Felder tour. Cheaper, smaller venue. . .

Is he allowed to do much of the Eagles numbers?

Here's a recent setlist

Oddly, no "I Can't Tell You Why", which is one of his and the Eagles best. Maybe it doesn't work without Schmit.

That's actually not "his". That's from that no talent-Timothy B. Schmidt.

...but you're correct. He probably couldn't have done it worse.

The elegant guitar work is definitely his.

I saw them recently as well and I thought it was great. Of course I understand that they are mostly in their 70s.

I had never seen them and I’m glad I checked it off the list.

There was too much of a feature on Walsh, when he’s obviously declined a lot. They shouldn’t focus on him as much, but he the spotlight quite a bit.

If you choose to go see a classic band, you should expect that they aren’t kids anymore more.

Virtually any band from that era is the same way.

Many of the contemporaries are dead.

Rough trying to hold on to the past. Considered getting tickets to Stevie Nicks - but accepted that it’s better to hold on to what we used to be.

Santana still has it. Saw him a few years ago. Sounded just like Moonflower

He's also a solo act, so you can't complain about all the "new" band members.

Man you seem really bitter. Did Henley bang your grandmother back in the day and not call her?

I’m glad I didn’t let you deter me. Approximately 0 of the sold-out crowd at Sphere this past Saturday would agree with you it seems. The place was packed and it was electric.

Your post made me do some searching. I found sources saying the whole show is a lip-sync, none of it is, or somewhere in between.

If they are, it is damn hard to tell. Obviously Joe Walsh is not faking it. I’ll grant you, he has certainly seen better days. He does have a hard time singing, especially Life’s Been Good, but the crowd still loves him anyway.

Don Henley’s voice was just a little bit ragged at times, I don’t think he was faking. When he sang “Desperado” towards the end of the set he sure as hell wasn’t faking it, a couple of women around me were weeping, it was very moving.

Timothy B.Schmit’s voice has thinned out over the years and the band backs him up more on “I Can’t Tell You Why” than they used to.

Vince Gill, I do not believe he would go up there and lip sych any song.

I will grant you, I thought some of the Sphere screen content could have been a little bit more creative. But most of it was awesome.

My daughters. 19 and 23, were with me and they both enjoyed the show even more than in Birmningham several years ago. Now, they were by far the youngest people I saw there. Some of the people in front of us turned around and saw them sitting with me and my wife, and congratulated them on being there at such a young age to “see history.” I laughed because I had told them the same thing. They are definitely ready to go back to the Sphere any time.

Don’t let this guy deter you from going. One of the greatest bands ever, winding it down at one of the most awesome concert venues on the planet, do not miss it if you can help it. They have just added dates through October and November. shite I may go back.

Saw Eagles in the dome in 92. Awesome show. Joe Walsh completely stole it.
