Original
Dreadnought pickguard
Yay or nay?
I flatpick a lot and have the standard pickguard on hand, original guard has some gouges in it from previous owner.

I think it's too big for that guitar. Maybe trim it down some?

I'd say it's a hair too close to bottom edge.

I agree with others that it's too close to the bottom, if you are looking to make it visually appealing. But if you don't care, then just go with it.
Also, get rid of the inspirational word pillows.

Like the length.... since I always get pick and little finger wear in that above the bridge area. If it's not glued down you might recenter the hole so the pickguard's more centered.
But if it's done see where it wears.

Be aware - this is potentially more than a wear and tear and cosmetic upgrade.
Changing the size and potentially the thickness of the pickguard will change the natural vibration of the top. They call it the "soundboard" for a reason, it is the guitar's vocal cords. You may (emphasis on "may") change the guitar's tone/voice with a pickguard. And as to if a change is for the better or worse, that's subjective.
Removing an old guard with very tacky adhesive will potentially pull up the top's clearcoat, even if you heat with a hair dryer prior to careful removal. Outside of being costly, a top-only refin will also change the top's voice.
Because as much can go badly wrong as better, I wouldn't do it if it were my guitar. But that's just me.
