Brandon flowers of The Killers has some pretty shite live performances out there

His desperate gasps for air in between lines is very distracting. Easily correctable.

He also just isn't really a naturally gifted singer. It feels forced sometimes. IIRC he was actually booted from an electronic band because of his lack of vocals before going on to start The Killers.

Don't get me wrong, he's sounded great at times too. But once he gets tired, his live stuff really suffers.

Depends on your definition of "big," but Gary Lewis from Gary Lewis and the Playboys is absolute dogshit as a singer. I like the group's songs, but he sounds like a bad 13-year-old at a middle school talent show.

If anyone can find a worse vocal than this, please post it.

His voie is weak, rather nasal, and he has to be multi-tracked on most of his stuff. Still, his voice doesn't bother me as much as the bombastic screechers I listed in my first post

Most of these are terrific songwriters or have interesting voices, just don't hire them to sing the National Anthem. By the way I love their music. Great vocalist isn't one of my criteria.
