You were mad because you said that a starting 5 of Jack, Martin, Odom, Scola, and Okafor was a championship contender.

Link? I thought it was a great return for trading away a superstar that wanted out in the first place (which it was). You still think a coach that couldn't get to .500 with Carmelo and Amare and plenty more talented players on the same team is better than a guy that took the Lakers to a tough 6 games when everyone thought we would be swept. You lose all credibility. And your post history shows how you started bitching nonstop once the Thornton situation went down. You mad.

He better be ready to work his arse off. He's got a lot of learning to do.

That's the same coach that discovered Ginobli as scout for the Spurs; The same coach that took the Suns to two 60 win seasons, 2 western conference finals, and 4 straight 50 win seasons even though he had a cheap owner who refused to pay Johnson, Marion, or Richardson; The same coach who brought in Galinari, Chandler, Fields, and Moskov and turned the worst team in the NBA into a playoff team before Dolan gave it all away for Melo.

Son, there was basketball before Melo joined the Knicks.

This would be a great starting 5. We would definitely be one of the best non-superstar teams in the NBA with that lineup.

This is what I said and is there anything wrong about that statement? Also, lots of knowledgeable posters are in that thread talking about how much they like it. Like I said, hindsight is 20/20.

Pretty much . NBA can go frick itself, though. We joke about CHAMPIONSHIP all the time on here but that team could surprise and win one with a few solid bench players.

Again, nothing wrong with this. I didn't say that they would win it with that roster. I threw in that we'd still need some better bench players. I don't see it as too far-fetched when you have a very good coach at the helm.

And good for D'Antoni with his past success, but Monty lead a Hornets team with less talent into the playoffs with a better record than the Knicks. Not to mention the Hornets being in the much tougher West while the Knicks played in the top-heavy East.

My WVU homerism may be showing but how can a player who averaged 20 pts 11 reb and shot 51% from the field against Big East competition go undrafted? Is EVERYBODY pissed WVU went to the Big XII?

Hope you land somewhere, K Jones.
