Teams wouldn't want to do this to their star player that is legit injured and is already trying to come back earlier than the team wants. But they would want to do this to someone that is sitting out to create leverage.
I can understand the concern with how to enforce this. Even if the collective bargaining agreement agrees to a set of league doctors that say you are good to go physically, you have the mental health aspect these guys will fall back on to not play just like Simmons did. This also takes away any sort of power from team doctors that the team's trust and use. There's just seemingly too much gray area.

Anyone surprised? Reported with @sam_amick back in March for that Phil had “been in frequent contact with Jeanie Buss about team matters all season long.”

I think Klutch could die out once Lebron is retired
I think this should say clutch will die out for LeBron retires. Now that he's more interested in his own business affairs, why not do it himself? He still has all the leverage, and he's probably more educated than Rich Paul

Which, to be clear for those that are dense, is a huge indictment on Rich, absolutely not a compliment to LeBron!

neither studied past high school
at least paul had to hustle to make a living, lebron has been catered to his entire teen and adult life

“I’ve heard that Phil would like LeBron traded. But I have nothing to back that up. No on the record stuff to back that up. … I do know that Phil would like them to keep Westbrook and try to make it work with him.”
? Bill Plaschke on The Gottlieb Show this morning
There was a quote yesterday about how Jeannie Buss is pissed about paying the tax for this team. I think it's most likely that nothing significant happens this offseason, Griff tied their hands pretty well, but I wouldn't be shocked at anything including blowing it up.

If Phil wants to trade Lebron but keep Westbrook, he may be the greatest tank commander of them all.

Phil Jackson is more stuck in the past than Byron Scott. The tax situation having the poor owner more involved making Phil more involved is great for Pels fans.
