Our brain trust is:

- A washed up GM who hasn't won shite in 20 years
- The guy who made Detroit and Washington perennial losers
- The washed up GM's son who is unhirable on any other franchise

That's a recipe for the worst 10-month stretch for NBA front offices maybe ever.

A has been, a never was, and a never should even be in the room.

WALL OF TEXT WARNING

I've definitely given up any hope with this ownership group. It has been bad for awhile but I always was thankful for her because she kept the team here when there were more than enough reasons to flirt with selling it to someone that would move them. But now I care so little about the entire franchise that I am wishing she just sells it to whomever. I'll take the risk the franchise gets moved because at least it'll be easier to fully quit on them if they're not here. Hopefully that doesn't happen and a new owner keeps them here and actually NEEDS the team to win instead of throwing just enough money at it to keep the product afloat and get the TV money. We don't have to be the laughing stock of the league, we just choose to be because the alternative is spending more money then they are comfortable with and failing. Benson doesn't care about the negative press because its not enough to hurt her financially. She knows next to nothing about the sport, next to nothing about the finances. She lets Tom's friends tell her what's going on and not a single person outside of that circle has come in to tell her what a massive dumpster fire her business has become. It is so frustrating knowing fans care enough to support the team but the management has no business being where they are. Rip the bandaid off, sell the team. If they move, they move

OP forgot to mention us lucking our way into acquiring Boogie and forming the best team in our franchise’s history, a team to this day I think could have taken down the prime Warriors. Boogie tearing his Achilles after missing that FT will always haunt me as a Pels fan. Rondo, Jrue, Mirotic, AD, and Boogie. That was the team, our one shot.

Geauxdilocks is a low key troll that only posts about the pelicans and Saints needing to be sold/relocated.

He is best ignored.

It’s not really lowkey. The sad thing is he’s actually kind of right most of the time.

That’s bullshite, I’ve been sounding the alarm on Gayle for quite awhile and that day Rita shoved Gayle in the suite was a fateful day that set the franchises failure in motion once Tom passed.

Nothing wrong with my take that one’s fandom can travel with the teams being sold and relocated. Why are we so loyal to a city that loathes private sector business?

This Franchise will never be a success until it is sold and moved. Organization is a joke and New Orleans is not a Big Enough Basketball City. They will have Great Support in spots but it is not and never has been consistent.

Why does the team have to be moved after it's sold? This is so short sighted. Owners can live anywhere and all have multiple homes. Almost none live full time in the cities where they own teams. If we can get a young PE group with some drive to acquire the team, it could easily turn things around.

Then it'll be up to the city of New Orleans to convince them to stay. We need a new arena and something special to make that happen. They need to come up with something quick. I think they could get it done, and they will have the advantage. But it has to be competitive. New owners don't owe it to the city to stay..

Because you can’t win in a city nobody really wants to live in. Sadly, a city that leaves a dead body for the public to see for days after a fraudulent inspection on the Hard Rock is just not a major league sports town any longer.

You can’t win here long term, even our Super Bowl winning coach hit the eject button after trying multiple times.

I like the teams enough to want them to move so they can win again.

"Ditka-Saints level bad."

And what came after the Ditka Saints? First playoff win and then after some really hard times, our first Super Bowl title. Perspective, folks. Any franchise, no matter how bad, can turn it around with a few good moves. And the Pels need to make a good one for a change this offseason when they get a permanent head coach. I am not a JB hater, but we have to shake this thing up.

Use your brain and try to argue the facts in the post. Like most simpletons you can’t and are reduced to an emotional tantrum typical of a 90 IQ type.

He’s right about nothing. He’s a Rita arse licker who got booted from the city. Oh no, it ain’t easy winning. Oh no, 30 teams want to win a title every year. Zion is a piece of shite that set this franchise back. Gayle has done nearly everything possible in a league that is 100% rigged against this franchise. It’s fricking lazy to throw tantrums and expect unrealistic results in a situation that is not an easy fix. For as bad of a team we’ve been, we have a lot of high character guys keeping a good face and continue to try to do good which ain’t easy in bad times and it is a testament to the classiness that this organization does have that starts w ownership.

I'm frustrated because we had groomed solid in house candidates (I.e. Trajan Langdon) and yet somehow we're here with Weaver and dumars...

Because its still our city, our state. No one is saying selling the team would be a bad idea, you wanting and expecting it to be relocated is what makes you a jackass
