Really? Your insight is second level. So, the fact that some schools recruit better and get better players is irrelevant. Or, that they have top facilities and coaches?

Sure, that's how they get them.

If the one and done went away, those players would be drafted pretty close to where they end up getting drafted a year later. Playing at Kentucky does little to elevate or harm a players value, unless they do something really awesome or horrible. I'm sure people can find many examples of both.

I just wouldn't look at a prospect from Kentucky and another from another school, then pick the one from Kentucky cause he went to that school. Honestly I'd probably pick the other guy cause he picked a lesser program. I like guys that want to lead a program rather than trying to bandwagon their way to a title..

what a ridiculous take, and if you had done that you would have come out on the losing end far more often than not. Outside of Kevin Knox, almost every G/F from Kentucky drafted in the 1st round over the last 8 years has turned out to be a fringe starter at worst.

You draft a G/F from Kentucky and your chances of getting an allstar are pretty damn good. And when you don't get an allstar, i guess you'll just have to settle for Tyler Herro, or Tyrese Maxey, or Keldon Johnson

I cannot follow your line of thinking at all. So, if you admit that a university like Kentucky recruits better and gets the better players, how can you say there is no relevance to a player going to Kentucky? And then you say you would intentionally choose a player from a lesser program. You make absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Thanks for that article.

He is really smooth all around. Could be a nice two way player.

Might trade back and grab him

Yea ideally trade-back would be nice. But I think Coulibaly is the riser in this draft. There's always a few surprise risers each year, he fits the bill of super athletic, somewhat raw prospect with untapped potential. If he's there at 14, I don't think that's too high for him.

I think there's a clear top-8 that most likely gone before #14, and probably go in the top-10:

Wemby
Scoot
Whitmore
T. Hendricks
B. Miller
Amen
Ausar
J. Walker
-------------

Then it's a small-tier that also should be gone before 14, but could fall if some surprise risers are taken early:

A. Black
C. Wallace
Gradey D.
K. George
---------

Then there's mix of players who could go anywhere from #10-#20, "in the eye of the beholder" tier:

K. Bufkin
Hawkins
Lively
Coulibaly
Jett Howard
L. Miller
Cissoko
Rupert
Hood-Schifino
K. Murray
GG Jackson
N. Clowney
J. Najji
B. Podziemski

So we likely will be picking from this big group at #14. Or trade down and still get one from this group.
