If we trade the 6 pick for Thad Young I will lose my damn mind.

To be fair WCS is a great young talent and he was behind Gasol in Memphis. Koufos is what he is, a 20-25 MPG defensive center in the Asik/Mozgov/Pachulia/Biyombo tier. If you're looking to buy one of those this offseason, absorbing Koufos might be the better buy.

I'm with ya! It does sound like the stupid type of move Dealer Dell would make though.

If we do the trade directly with Charlotte taking Lamb into cap space I'd need to know what our FA plans are/were before doing it.

Agreed. That trade would put the Pels at ~15 mil in cap space. I would really need to see who was available at 22 when that pick came up. I'd maybe do it if Prince was available there.

In a perfect world this is my hope: (of course this won't happen)

1. Draft Bender at 6 and trade to Bucks with Asik for Monroe.

2. Do 3-way trade with SAC & CHA where we get Ben McLemore & Spencer Hawes and Evans goes to Kings and Douglas to Hornets

3. Draft Taurean Prince, Malcolm Brogdon, & Ben Bentil

4. Sign Batum or Bazemore and re-sign Frazier

5. Gee opts in

6. Sign a decent backup PG (maybe bring back Douglas when he's let go by the Hornets)

Holiday/Frazier/Douglas?
McLemore/Pondexter/Gee/Brogdon
Batum or Bazemore/Cunningham/Prince
Davis/Hawes/Bentil
Monroe/Ajinca

Monroe & Holiday are free agents next season
Hawes has a player option (most likely declined)
McLemore would be restricted ($5m qualifying offer)

I think this opens up a lot of possibilities next offseason and gives us a few more assets we can move at the deadline if we need

Agreed, I don't think he fetches a lottery pick.

idk, if greg monroe somehow fetches a top 10 pick, I think Thad Young could do.

I wouldnt want to give 6 for him, but i actually wouldnt mind Young on this team. He's on a good deal for a few more years and is a team player. I could see him playing well with AD.

Sure. I'd like to have Thad Young. I'm not trading a top 10 draft pick for him.

Minnesota shopping Rubio and trying to make other team take pekovic contract as well. Looks like Minny will definitely take Dunn if he's still there.

They better be the ones giving up a pick then.

Celtics have standing offer of #3 for Okafor. Boston wants more.

I would imagine they'd get Kris Dunn with the 3 pick.

@BillSimmons My dream Draft outcome: Celts flip picks w/ N.O. and grab a pick swap at any point from 2018-2023, then take Buddy at 6. We need a shooter.

I'd be ok with that.

Would Boston even do that? I feel like they wouldn't

I wouldn't do it. We move up 3 spots and then they basically control our draft board for up to 5 years. We could land the #1 pick and they could have the 30th and we would have to swap with them...all to move up 3 spots in a 2 person draft.

F that.

True I'd only do it if it's like 2020 or beyond. But Celtics are on the rise so that's the risky part

and my problem is that we'd be going up to 3 to grab a player we thought was possibly available at 6. Its like we're not upgrading our pick very much to go grab dunn or murray at 3.

I'm sure in that scenario, the pick would have some type of protected value.
