Smart teams draft the players they like best and figure the rest out later. Again, these guys wont actually be good for 3-4 years, so why draft with your current roster in mind when history says your roster will be so different in 3-4 years.
Also, you are talking about "positions" but again, I think smart teams think in terms of skill sets. Hield has a skill set they lack. Positions don't matter, except for when you give the program to the casual fan
Just to be clear, I like Hield for this team or any team we are building. Thats why I want him. I think he is the better prospect now and in the future. For this team or any other team we may be building with AD(or not).
Purely on who I like best as players in a vacuum, I would want Hield over Murray. I think Murray is a tier below where I would put guys like Hield, Bender and Dunn and in between those two tiers is Brown. Who is this weird volatile prospect.

So Murray's in top shape right now? Cause I hear 'i want to be the greatest' all the time. I think it was Deion who once said in reference to Patrick Peterson "some people talk about being the best. that boy lives it."
I don't care who we draft as long as that dude is willing to come in and work and evolve. All these guys are talented -- it'll come down to work and preparation.

And Cal, along with every evaluator and person close to UK, etc lists Murray's work ethic as a big strength
The athleticsim concerns are legit. But nothing to worry about on the work ethic side

I don't like how he often times brings the ball down to almost his waist before shooting. I think that he will get his shot blocked in the NBA far more than he did in college until he fixes this.
I brought that up in a thread comparing Hield and Murray. Murray's shot is slower and his release point is lower than Hield's.

I would be happy with Murray I think he has huge upside. I would be really upset If they took brown or bender over him

Yeah, it hurts him a lot on his pullups
Coming off screens though, he is deadly. But far the best in the country this year, even better than Hield and Gentry loves to run pin downs and screens for shooters. He will love this guy. Erman will have his work cut out for him

So the first 5 is all but confirmed pretty much. That's of course the fanbases are right and beat writers of the pages I've visited.
1. PHI - Simmons
2. LAL - Ingram
3. BOS - Dunn
4. PHX - ???
5. MIN - Dunn/Hield.
Basically, we need Phoenix to go big if we want one of the guards.

If we do draft hield I can't wait to see Davis and him have conversations with one another. I wonder if they'll be able to understand each other.
