It's very tough to determine how an ankle will respond to that type of injury until the next morning or until an MRI is performed. I would imagine they performed x-rays at the arena so that is good that they are calling it a sprain. I have seen some nasty looking inversion sprains like that turn out to be short term injuries. Jax being young and super flexible should work to his advantage. I wouldn't expect to see him back in the preseason but he shouldn't miss much regular season.

Good effort by the bench. They thoroughly outplayed that starting lineup.

Yeah, they at least made a game out of it. Much better ball control in the second half. TM3 was really creating some gravity after he made those first few 3's. Prevented the defenders from crashing in and closing lanes. Now just imagine him with Zion.

Yeah, he may get a 2 way, but he's definitely not gonna be on a main roster.

He's a good shooter, just tries to do to much sometimes

I know it's golf and not basketball, but Tony Finau did that to his ankle during the Masters par 3 tournament a few years ago and went out and finished in the top 10 that same week. You're correct, the MRI will tell the story. The x-rays were done as a precaution and because you have to rule out a fracture asap. Hopefully, he'll just be off his feet for a little while, and ready to go in 2-3 weeks.

Damn. At least the ball was in TM3's hands. SVG wouldn't have even managed that. Or the timeout.

How Willie does(or doesn't) adjust his rotations will really say a lot to me.

Not saying guys like Temple and Sato don't play at all, but NAW should be starting, Murphy should be getting work with opposing starters to see how he scales up against better defense.

Best part of the night: NAW and Murphy looked GREAT.

Also interesting that when he wasn't in with the starters, Herb Jones played point-forward, similar to Zion.

Kira was almost exclusively off the ball.

Would Zion have the least height/length in that lineup?

Feel like someone was supposed to set a screen to try to get the defender off Trey there..

Pros:

Trey Murphy
Nickeil's offensive skillset
Herb's defense

Cons:

Graham's 1:4 Asst/TO
Jaxson Hayes' ankle
Naji taking as many shots as BI in fewer minutes

Think the T'Wolves will be good this year. We gotta take a considerable step

Im also assuming we aren't paying Josh Hart 12 million dollars to sit behind a guy like Temple either.
