A lot of people complain about Zion's rebounding, but in reality, how many would you expect him to get?
He's currently 7th on the team in defensive rebounds per game, and it's purely an effort thing. You see how hard he works to get ORebs on his own misses, you'll never see him working like that on the defensive side.

He's currently ranked 156th in defensive rebound rate, directly behind Coby White, Peyton Pritchard(6'1), Jalen Brunson and Jordan Hawkins.

It's a small sample size but if it improves it'll be due to effort, which is why it's fair to judge how poorly he's rebounded this season on the defensive side.

He's set in his ways...a terrible "style" for today's NBA. And he is NOT gonna change. Actually makes other players on his team "worse" when he's out there.

And you're a terrible "fan" of this team. You actually make this board "worse" when you're on here.

If we go ahead & pay this guy what we'll have to pay him...the Pels totally deserve another 5 years of misery.

Gfy. I mean seriously. The Pelicans pretend fans are ridiculous. We're 4-2 and too small of a sample size if you're just judging off of this year and you're completely ignoring just how good they have been in the past. You only started following the Pels because of Herb so I'm not sure why you say "we" wen talking about the team. You predicted Herb and Dyson to be the two most important players for this teams success this year so if you're already judging BI and Zion this year how about your Herb and Dyson takes? The Pels already need to move from them and they're a hopeless cause? God I'm sick of some of these crap "fans".

All of that isn't as bad as making up fake crap to say that BI and the medical team were engaged in a conspiracy.

How do people make up lies about our players to slander them ... and still consider themselves to be fans?

It was a fact that he missed a game for knee soreness.

It was a fact that he tested it the next game and was ruled out

It is a fact that the diagnosis then changed from knee soreness to knee tendonitis

It is a fact that after missing his 3rd game Willie Green went on record stating he thought or knew BI was day to day but wasn't so sure if that were the case any more, clearly insinuating he could miss a decent bit of time more than just "day to day"

Those are all facts and certainly a reason to question what was going on in the moment for a dude we already know the FO questioned and even leaked reports of their frustrations with him not coming back to play as soon as they would have liked.

No. We went over this. "Soreness" is a symptom, not a diagnosis. They first held him out due to the symptom of knee soreness, which appeared only a few hours before a game. Then, they diagnosed that the symptom was caused by the actual medical condition of tendonitis. None of that was suspicious in any way.

And plenty of people flat-out said that he was malingering.

when can we start booing Zion every time he gets the ball?

And then we get this crappy "fan" in another thread.

Some people on this board should just give up the pretense and put on their LeBron jerseys.

So from soreness and may play to day to day with tendonitis to the coach going on record saying he thought he was day to day but was no longer sure insinuating it could be a downgrade from day to day...

And fans shouldn't start to question what's going on when the player in question is the same player the organization leaked reports so they could go public letting everyone know they were unhappy with that player just the season before for not returning when the FO thought he could have returned...

We have covered this. The diagnostic testing was done before they gave the reason of "soreness." The team came out and said "no structural damage" and listed him as out with "knee soreness." In this case, knee soreness was the listed reason for him being out and then it was changed with no further diagnostic testing. Those are the facts.

Not true. He was ruled out of a game with knee soreness just hours before the game, and no testing was done until the following day.

And then missed a 2nd game due to knee soreness after being questionable. After the 2nd game, then the diagnosis of knee tendonitis came, which was multiple days after the tests were done.

He then missed the 3rd game with the official knee tendonitis diagnosis.

Keep in mind, on 10/31 Willie stated his injury was "nothing concerning." 2 days later on 11/2 Willie's stance changed to, “I would imagine it’s day to day, but I’m not sure.”
