It’s time though. He’s not learning from mistakes.

This team is good enough to be top 3 in the west right now.

And if we won the games we should have we would be.

I just can’t man. Maybe I’ll have some more perspective on it tomorrow, but as of right now if Willie was out tomorrow I would fully support it

I get it, but we can’t actually know more than an nba coach, can we?

I feel like he may see things the average fan doesnt

I’m just saying , maybe there’s a small chance that an nba head coach knows more than a message board poster, maybe not though

I will say, it seems like he doesn’t have a plan for late in games when the opponent makes an asjustment

shite, if we win the 9 double digit blown games, we are sitting at 26-5, top overall in the NBA, not just the west

Again he cant adjust in game. Which honestly would make me highly consider firing him.

Is it possible that Willie is so nice, he'll recognize he isn't good enough and voluntarily step aside lol. Then we can give Borrego a chance

The fact that Ja almost beat us in the same manner as a week ago is an issue

Offensive strategy to have BI work the clock then shoot a contested jumper is getting really old

Having Zion just play 1 v 1 from the elbow 90% of the time is mind boggling. He doesn’t get the calls when he’s fouled and he’s not a good enough FT shooter for this to be a viable strategy

Ft shootings a whole other issue . They obviously aren’t putting in the time

Sitting by his wife, I've tended to really pull for him to work out, but this team has a leadership problem, and he's the leader.

He’s a likeable guy, but he is overmatched as an NBA head coach.

I think what’s aggravating to me is, hes putting this on players and saying its something they can learn from. But if they’re not learning what happens? Keep doing this and you as head coach not intervene because they need to learn? What kind of dumbass coaching philosophy is this?

It may be irrational and I may be wrong, but Willie lost me tonight. I’m done.

I too really like Willie as a person. Like maybe one of the best actual humans in the NBA. But man…this team is so hard to watch some times. I am not going to sit here and pretend like I have more bbiq than him or the rest of the coaching staff. I also am not going to mince thoughts that I don’t understand how we are an NBA team that looks so completely lost when it matters most. Guys all of a sudden can’t make a shot, can’t make defensive rotations and doubles, hell…we can’t even dribble the ball in the last 5 minutes of a game. It’s like these all world basketball players forget varsity level fundamentals.

I’d hate to see Willie go and I don’t want to be that crew that gives up on someone too early…but that critical mass point is getting ever closer at this rate.

It’s been a few hours now so I’m gonna come back to this

This game was NOT, by a long shot, entirely on Willie.

Our stars disappeared down the stretch, there was some inexplicable refereeing, and we missed a frick ton of free throws

HOWEVER

That does not change that we had no gameplan in the 4th

Or that our lineup choices continue to be inexplicable

Or that we’re not shooting threes

Or that we didn’t use a timeout IN THE SAME EXACT POSITION WE WERE IN LAST MEMPHIS GAME

Or that we seemed to fail to call a single actual play in the last 10 minutes of the game

So, yes, a lot of things need to be improved, but the fact that we could have won this game IN SPITE of coaching doesn’t make the coaching any less bad

I could almost tell we had no plan from Borregos half time chat with Jen… he basically said something to the tune of ‘more of the same’ is how we win this.

Which kind of pre emps no need for adjustments or improvements etc.

I’m so infuriated and down on the team and like Shel says… it’s our top 3 to blame… not just Willie, but his inability to stop the bleed with sensible adjustments is head banging to wall…or to initiate a sensible offense or style of play especially in 4th. Or surround your stud with shooters?

Free throws are disgusting and unacceptable at this level. It’s the whole team.

Our main guys revert to iso… whether that’s BI midrange or Zion head down drive… and it sucks. We play well when we move the ball (every team does) and for some reason when the pressure is on, we melt.

I maintain we should be title challengers. It is probably my expectations versus reality that have me pissed off with the situation. For now I still believe my expectations are correct but there needs to be a fundamental shift to stop this repeated idiocy that we are seeing every few games.
