What he did months ago is irrelevant. He’s a head case and clearly isn’t mentally ready for NBA basketball. He’s horrid.

And a stretch of 6 games in unprecedented conditions is relevant?

I was disappointed how Lonzo handled the bubble, but I think he is a prospect we’re keeping into next season.

I do not believe he has earned his qualifying offer that would come due in two years though. His current pay for next season seems about the most he deserves as he still needs to improve, but he does still show potential.

At least he's aware that he played like shite. Theres nothing wrong with admitting that playing in the bubble after the layoff messed up his rhythm.

Yeah, the bubble is a really weird and small sample to judge too much off of. On top of rhythm, the weird court layouts can also affect shooters' depth perception. That's why some arenas are tougher than others. Rims can only be so stiff, but cavernous or confined courts definitely affect some shooters.

I'm no NBA player, but I've played a decent amount of pickup ball. There was one corner in the specific Y that I played at that I could never seem hit a shot from. I would literally airball most shots I took from that corner. As it turned out, there was a window behind the goal that just absolutely fricked with my depth perception.

That's not to excuse his poor showing, but the guy had a good year and played really well with Zion. Throwing him out because of 6 tough games would be silly.
