my all 2022 pels draft misses. 1. mathurin

Uhhhh can you give a rational explanation? He was drafted 6th and we had the 8th pick.

Also Daniels has significantly more potential than Roddy.

Trying to stop Jokic is futile.

that's not what i said. I don't expect to stop him.
But i also don't want a center matched up on him that makes it incredibly easy for him to cruise to a triple double and a easy win for the Nuggets.
When you put a smaller guy on him, he will just have his way with him with ease. You have to try to be physical with him and make him earn his points and assists.

Yeah we were 100% taking Mathurin; he just didn’t fall and it sucks.

As for Jonas he’s so underrated and misused

Collins and Allen are more comparable. I think Collins can play stronger.
Gafford is not in their league.

I'm strictly thinking about playing against Jokic when i think of who i want as the 5 on this team.
And to be honest, i want JV, and then i want a Nance or a Collins behind him with another young energy big behind them, not some shitty vet who isnt' any good.
Watching them play, I would disagree a bit. Mainly because Collins plays soft. Gafford is only slightly smaller and plays pretty strong. Allen plays stronger than both.

have you watched Collins play lately?
I would agree that he played soft in Portland.
I thought he played tough this past year.

and i agree Allen plays strong, but he also costs a lot more than Collins.

Certainly agree on Allen's cost. Way too much. Collins is fine for the price, but I do not see him as any better of a defender than Gafford on bigger guys. Both would struggle to some extent. And yes, I have seen Collins play a pretty good bit and his defense is soft. Just because he picks fights does not make him a strong defender.

fair point

that's why i would want Isaiah Stewart, but Detroit isn't letting him go.
IT's also good to have someone down low who isn't afraid to get physical every now and then.

I like Stewart. Yeah, don't think Detroit gives him up.

what about a JV for Gafford swap, then a Kira for Drummond swap?
That leaves us enough to fill out the last two roster spots with minimum contracts and stay under the tax. Really hoping Liddel can be good enough to make the team, same as Seabron to replace Kira.

I'm not sure what kind of compensation would be needed for the Gafford/JV swap. I wouldn't think anything needed for the Kira/Drummond swap.

I dont care what anyone says, Drummond is a beast on the boards, and if thats what he does for 10-15 minutes a night, then so be it. his defensive ratings have always been great, even though i know he's only playing drop coverage.

Not sure what it would take to get Gafford from Washington. I would not give up a 1st unless it was very heavily protected (i.e. top 20 or so).

Gafford is probably not even on the market. He's literally their only playable center right now.

Probably not, unless they wanted a playable center in Jonas on an expiring instead.

I doubt the Wizards care about having 1 center. They aren't trying to win. They want draft picks.

I'd consider trading a lottery protected 25 1st if they give us their 25 and 26 2nds, and if the pick doesn't convey they can keep their 2nds and we'll give them 2 2nds.
