I don't doubt these things but I do find it funny every offseason we hear of some guy who is said to have grown several inches.

Its a joke. Every young playsr grows like 3 inches even though biologically most people stop growing at around 18-20.

My honest take is this board really over perceives what Zion’s value is. Put yourself in the shoes of a Portland fan. Would you want to give up a guy with the ceiling of Sharpe, the #3 overall pick (a guy with arguably a higher ceiling than Sharpe), not to mention other assets like Simons, for a guy in Zion that has proven he can’t stay on the court, regardless of his physical condition?

And going back to the Lambo analogy, is it really a high end luxury sports car if it only runs 37% of the time? Or are you overselling it’s value by calling it a luxury sports car?

I think the fan base is split. Sort of how this fan base is in trading Zion or not.

we’re just going off what journalist are saying. Whether real or not, they say Dame would love having Zion on his team. Give them Herb as well they might do it. It’s all unlikely to happen but we’re just going off of “info” we’re given

My only reason why I think Pels might do it is I believe that the franchise would prefer the cheaper option in Scoot rather than Zion or BI. I believe this team being cheap rather than team toeing the tax line for the next 2 years. I dont think they want have to continuosly worry about being close to the tax the next two years.

Don’t they already have Thybulle? I would imagine Herb wouldn’t be needed since they have him already. They’d want more offense hence why I changed it to Cody Martin.

I think their issue has always been defense still. But true I forgot about thybulle

Thybulle is literally unplayable on offense. You think Herb struggles in offense, thybulle hurts your eyes on offense.

I agree in the case of Zion. If the team has growing concerns about his off-court conduct and lack of discipline, that combined with the upcoming cap situation is one case where I could see the team look to part ways.

I do think the character concerns would be a huge factor though, which is why I feel like BI is not up for discussion.

Also, the fact that when the day the scoot stuff came out we saw BI and Herb were with Griff; combined with the team not coming out and nixing the Zion rumors by now, is a bit telling to me.

I still don’t think he gets moved, but I also think the team would have made a statement by now if Zion was completely off the table.

Athletic

Also, not sure if this had been posted, but it was a good read. Will Guillory article from earlier today on the athletic. It seems I absorbed a good bit of this from my earlier post

There’s bene national media talking about Zion being traded from the day he was drafted, if the team issued a statement for everyone of these reports they would be putting out a new statement everyday.

I can’t recall this many reports of Zion being on the block since he’s been here. I mean for sure, Knicks beat reporters have been throwing out Zion mocks since before he was even drafted. I just can’t ever recall people having sources in or around the organization telling them he’s going to be moved.

Perhaps I’m looking at it from an incorrect perspective, talk just seems far hotter than it’s ever been.

The blazers- pg13 interest is clearly a blazers leak too. Interesting hornets bowed out, do they know blazers/pels have a deal in place? If i was hornets i would tried to get in as 3 way deal.

This basically gives us potentially 2 chances to get a deal done if we really wanted it.

Charlotte gonna Charlotte.

Pick a dude involved with a murder. Re-sign a domestic abuser and put all your chips on an oft-injured dude from a clown family.
