Yeah I always remember Murray saying how Klay was the first person to reach out to him after he tore his ACL. Dude is petty but he’s likable lol.

Toronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. will opt into his $18.5 million player option for the 2023-24 season, CEO Rich Paul and agent Lucas Newton of Klutch Sports tells @NBAonTNT, @BleacherReport.

I would have expected him to decline….makes me wonder if he will be involved in a trade.

If the Pels don’t make any major moves, I would like to make a run at him.

If the Pels don’t make a draft day trade then I don’t expect them to make any major moves.

Wouldn’t he get that same AAV on a 3 year deal? This is weird

Guys like Gary Trent Jr are likely the subset of players most likely to be impacted by the new cba.

Stars will still get star money. But star in your role players are probably going to take a hit money wise with teams desperately trying to avoid the new repeater tax penalties.

Wonder if they are banking on a weak 2024 class to inflat his value.

We were very interested in him at the trade deadline, I wouldn’t be surprised to see us go after him again.

yeah but then it's makes things weird how trades work once it becomes a S&T.
He can opt in and it's much easier to trade him, and then the recipient can then give him an extension. So he might already have a wink wink deal with someone to get traded and they'll give him an extension.
