re butler, Woj:

All-Star Jimmy Butler participated in Minnesota's practice, a session that included him verbally challenging teammates, coaches and front office, league sources told ESPN. Butler was vociferous and emotional at times, targeting Thibodeau/Layden/Towns/Wiggins. Story soon on ESPN.

@KeithSmithNBA I spoke with a Wolves staffer who said about today's practice: "It was bad. Guys come in angry, having bad days all the time. This was as bad as I've ever seen a practice in my years in the NBA."

wow.
Minny has got to tell him to get the frick away from the team. They'll trade him when they trade him, but just consider yourself not on this team and youre not welcome to enter any of the facilities.

Thibs should be very very enticed by one Solomon Hill.

He’s could be the glue guy they’ve been looking for. I’d even throw in diallo for flavor

Have we had any discussions about Corey Brewer?
Posted on 10/10/18 at 6:18 pm to SCLSUMuddogs
I’d love Corey brewer.
I’d cut Diallo to give a spot to him.

the cuts begin, 2 no brainers.
sure would be nice if they had a D-league team...

roster deadline is 4:00PM CST today
Posted on 10/15/18 at 12:54 pm to cgrand
what does "roster deadline" mean? I know it sounds like a silly question but I feel like moves are constantly made up to the start of the season. is it like each team can have a max of 15 players on their roster by that time?

correct
many teams are still over the limit, they must cut down before the deadline
quote:
3 hours out from the 5:00 PM EST roster deadline, here are the teams who still need to waive/trade players:
DET - 1
HOU - 1
LAC - 2
MIL - 1
PHX - 3
SAS - 1
At least 9 more transactions to come over the next few hours.

We are at 15 with Williams and Bluitt.
Bluitt is a 2WP, is Williams?
Since Bluitt is a 2WP, doesn't he not count towards the 15?

blueitt is 2-way, doesnt count.
both williams are signed to standard contracts, but are non-gtd (same as okafor).
pels have one more 2-way they can offer.
they can also waive any of the three non-gtds for a small cap hit ($50K i think), and free up roster spots. or, obviously they can make a trade
pels do not need to do anything before the deadline, but they have options if a player they like better becomes available

Milwaukee and Washington are in advanced stages on a trade in which the Bucks would receive a player and a future pick, league sources tell Yahoo Sports. In a separate move, Tim Frazier will be waived.

This is curious. Who are the Bucks giving up for a player and receiving a future pick?
Posted on 10/15/18 at 3:22 pm to NOFOX
Yeah I'm intrigued. Also wouldn't mind at all bringing Frazier back.

remember that the wiz are painfully into the tax.
likely taking someone like meeks for a fake pick...
edit: it is meeks

Final note on this largely meaningless deal: It brings the Wizards to within ~$7 million of the luxury tax line if this thing goes totally off the rails this season. Migggghttttttttt be worth watching that.
the wizards will be a team to keep an eye on, as the deadline approaches in January. they are now within striking distance of getting under the tax if they have to...and if they decide thats what they'll do, they'll be shedding players
