Actually Stern does give a shite what people think because he knows drama sells. Giving conspiracy theorists reasons to believe only increases interest in the league. But if hooking up the Lakers or Celtics is their plan they can't reward Sac this year. 4 years in a row of seeming to fix the lottery would be too much.
