He didn’t do shite. Our coaching staff just watches us frick up.

The roster has a glaring hole at the back up 5.
Out of timeouts, we suck. Out of half time, we suck. Willie did his job, got the young guys to where they are now, he can get them no further. Burango** (spelling) would probably win this game and have us up 3 or 4 games. Do it now, win games. No one on the team will care about Willie at the end of the season.

He hasn’t even got minutes this whole month?? He was legit one our bigger volume shooters. We have offensive spacing issues, we dont even give him minutes. Im just saying this roster is fine, coaching is fricking it up.
Look at the rockets roster and tell me based on talent they should be better than we are or even on the same level??

Probably not right now, but they have a bunch of young long scorers who will mature in the next year to have a better roster than us.
Jabari is going to be a problem for a long arse time.
The Grizzlies have always been a terrible matchup for us because they can match our backcourt length and now the Rockets seem to have that as well.

So you’re saying we have more talent but can’t find a way to win. I wonder who’s fault that is especially with young players that need direction. Again a lot if this is on coaching we have a pretty solid roster- some flaws but every team has flaws man.

You're trying to play this weird game of gotcha. Yes, Willie is at fault for a lot of shite, so too are the players. Again, if Zion and BI aren't total bitches at the FT line, we win. If Willie isn't a total bitch with his adjustments at the half, we win. If Trey doesn't play like a passive little bitch, we win.
The problem is that all of those issues are about more than just tonight. This coaching staff and this roster are fundamentally flawed and regardless of whether or not we won tonight, this team as currently constructed won't be competing for shite, and that's all that matters.

This team has talent man. Again every team has flaws. The nuggets, heat, celtics have flaws. There is no “gotcha”. This isn’t a roster problem, its a coaching problem. This is a deep talented team that is being completely mismanaged.
If Borrego took over, you would see this team win these games. Willie is being outcoached. If we win 4 or 5 games with a different coach, we would be on top if the west. Again roster isn’t a huge issue.

Couple Observations being there in person
1) Willie’s rotations are fricking terrible
2) Refs frick us constantly. I was courtside. The game is not called evenly. We are held on every play.
3) Got to make free throws. We miss way too many and it cost us games
4) BI sucks in crunch time. Zion isn’t much better because he can’t drive to the bucket without dribbling it off his leg.
5) Willie’s offensive sets are boring. There are no back side screens and the offense is stagnant.

It's deep in the sense that we have a bunch of guys who would be on other NBA teams if they weren't on the Pels.
But there is no reason for this team to have Jose, Naji, Herb and Dyson. That's way too many "grit" guys who account for little offense, which goes back to the roster construction issue.

Someone didn't watch Borrego's rotations in Charlotte. You're getting trapped in "backup QB fever" where you're assuming things will suddenly be magically fixed because JB isn't Willie, when in reality, Hawkins still doesn't get in the game tonight if Borrego is coaching.

These Rockets make every game a dog fight at the end. They drag better offensive teams into the mud, down to their level, and it comes down to who can hit their shots. It’s not just the Pelicans. This is how every game goes.

I knew we were screwed when JRE and Dyson are your shooters and the coaches are good with that.
But at the end our 2 stars sucked late.

JB is a damn good coach who ran a great offense even with shite players in Charlotte. Lol yeah I have “backup QB fever” because our starting HC is abysmal but that doesn’t mean JB is worse. Watch the game where Willie was sick. He completely had a handle on the games ebbs and flows. He coached under Pop, hes smart as a whip and understands game flow. I really think you’re minimizing how much great coaching can help in winning games. Just look at houston. They added van fleet and brooks- but their biggest get was Udoka. That team looks completely different than last year.
So we have too many nba rotation players but thats bad roster construction? The rockets are playing aaron holiday and 40 year old jeff green and winning. Again why do you think that is???
