If you are going pure upside, Essengue seems like the guy.

I like Fears and Kon quite a bit.

Fears has to add weight if he wants to succeed as a lead guard. Needs to gain at least 10 lbs which is doable. He has a decent frame. Doesn’t have narrow shoulders. I feel pretty good about this draft regardless. A lot of intriguing prospects at 7. They should go for upside tho. Do not play it safe

Agreed, I’d rather them take a swing and it fail than draft Knueppel, who I really like but he isn’t moving this franchise forward. Our only way out of this hell hole is hitting big on a pick. Getting a really good role player out of this draft is nice but doesn’t really do anything for this franchise in the grand scheme. You need a star since Zion clearly isn’t one

Yeah Essengue might totally bust but I’d respect Dumars for taking a swing on him. He’s probably got top 3-4 upside in the draft

Kon is my favorite pick. However, I’m good with Fears or Queen and understand why they would pick them.

Maxey also brings intangibles that many players don’t. He’s relentless about improving his game every offseason. He’s done everything to maximize his ability.

My guess is the Sixers are pushing the Pelicans for #7 and Murphy in exchange for #3. They’ll probably settle for 7, 23 and Herb Jones and ask the Pelicans to take some salary off their hands. The 23 might allow them to draft some long term Embiid insurance.

Even IF this is the case, the 76ers can kick rocks

Trey Murphy is worth more than the #3 overall pick. Trey is more valuable than Desmond Bane.

No team is "pushing us" for Trey. They would be begging us for Trey.... And we get #3 + picks in that trade.

They would settle for #7 + Herb or can kick rocks. We also probably get something else in that trade. That scenario would be (4) 1st to move up 3 spots, you are cracked out.

Bailey

The word describing him is "goofy".

He is talented, but a silly 18 year old kid who cuts up, telling jokes and dancing when the grownups are trying to be serious.

I could see the NBA forcing the ole 'Let him mature a bit down at the D-League Pelicans". That seems to be our lot - but I'll be damned if we have to trade up to be the leagues waiting room.

Sit at 7 and he will come to us.

Joe Dumars is "making the same mistakes" as he did in Detroit, despite not making any moves.

You were saying? Dumars most certainly made a move, and now it blew up spectacularly.

Where do you live?

It has not "blown up spectacularly." It will only have done so if Indy has a terrible season. It seems that is likely, but in the East, anything can happen. Wake me up when the 2026 draft seeding is settled. We can have a discussion as to whether this move was a spectacular failure.

In the interim....where do you live?

It has blown up spectacularly now and because of that idiot Gayle that hired another idiot Dumars there won’t be a 26 draft now.

Dumars has botched everything in just 2 months on the job.
