I'm not saying Queen will ever be an elite defender or even an anchor, but there's many examples of bigs who develop into competent defenders with age and experience. I've seen enough flashes of this from Queen this season to believe he can be competent with consistency and time.
It's not like his defense has been consistently bad. He's been surprisingly good, for example, at defending opposing bigs on post-ups. He'll ultimately be a good defender.
