Brooklyn about to win as well. Give our schedule, as long as we don't do something stupid like win games against the top Western Conf teams then we should easily be in the bottom 4

If there isn’t a new gm, there’s no change. Cp3 is my vote right now. Give him gm\coaching\playing options.

So the worst team hasn’t gotten the 1st pick once in the last 5 years? That’s crazy.

Man. Y’all aren’t going to like the Jazz-Suns highlights
That was some Pels level losing at the end there by the Jazz

Odds are currently 14% for the worst team to get the 1st pick...if they don't change the numbers & stay at 14% for the next few years...it will be 5 years before the worst team should logically expect to have the 1st pick.
By "logically expect"...I mean they should have at least a 50% chance of getting the #1 pick...which would be after 5 years. Just the math.
By the end of year 5...their odds to get that 1st pick at least once, will finally reach 50% or more...exact # would be 53%. Not exactly a "guarantee" you get that #1 pick after 5 years of having the worst record.

each year happens in a vacuum bruh. its 14% regardless. Thats some roulette wheel faulty reasoning right there.

Absolutely correct on the "vacuum/14% stuff"...but I was just discussing the odds on how often... some team that finished last and had that 14% chance to grab the #1 choice each year...should manage to get that #1 pick. Works out to about a 50/50 shot... over every 5 years...that's just basic probabilities. Fairly simple stuff.
So, finish last every year...you should, on average, manage to get the #1 pick once every 5 years...and if you get #1 more than that...you've beaten the odds. Any worse than once every 5 years...you've been unlucky. Not sure what the roulette wheel analogy has to do with this...but, whatever.

Something to keep in mind is that, due to the flattened odds, that 5 years also works out for roughly the rest of the top 4.

Good point...and worth remembering for anybody that is hoping for us to get Flagg...if we finish 3rd from bottom we have EXACT same 14% as the Wizards (who will finish last)
And, as I'm sure you know, the 4th worse record would only drop us 12.5% shot at getting Flagg.
I'd luv to somehow finish with 3rd worse records...and take our chances with those odds...and if whichever team lands the #1 pick doesn't happen to REALLY like (or need) Flagg...I'd take our (hopefully) top 3 or 4 pick...throw in some other solid "stuff"...to swap for that #1 pick.
Should be obvious by now...I REALLY like Flagg.

Obviously we know the best place we could pick from in the draft, what is the worst spot we could fall to? (If the lottery was today)
