I agree with you. And she has every right to defend herself or not want to be in that situation. But it doesn’t seem like she gave any advice on the situation while being the teams psychologist. Shouldn’t she have some recommendations or disciplinary recommendations as the teams psychologist?

I’m not saying 100% mental illness but it’s NOT normal behavior to just whip your dick out in front of a psychologist or random person.

My point is who do you call when the psychologist says “hey this guy has abnormal behavior and keeps whipping his dick out in front of me”. Do you say he needs to see a psychologist?

I don't think so. If the recommendation was some sort of additional therapy, I would agree. But if we're talking about a fine or suspension or actual punishment, then I don't think that's her job at all.

Her job as the psychologist is to help him or figure out what is going on. I understand she shouldn’t necessarily give a punishment. A recommendation would be nice tho.

She IS the psychologist. The team FO/ coaches have no clue what is going on in his head. If he did this to a random person then they would send him to a psychologist. So for the psychologist to tell the team “hey this dude has issues” what the hell is the team supposed to say? She’s the one that is supposed to have some of these answers.

I get that if she can’t help him and he’s a lost cause then yeah let him go. But maybe the Spurs actual wanted to try and get him help and kept sending him back to her.

I’m not arguing right or wrong. I’m trying to figure out who could help this dude if that’s the response from the psychologist.

Once the act (whipping it out) happens to her, she really can’t continue in a doctor/patient relationship with him. She’s too close to the situation when she becomes a victim herself.

If he can’t control himself while in mental health treatment sessions, that’s the end of the road imo as far as rehabilitation goes.

Imagine you have a new patient with a compulsive biting disorder or something that that. You try to help them get better, but once they start biting you, it’s over. You’re no longer impartial or unbiased and shouldn’t be expected to continue under those circumstances.
