Even if Portland was offering Scoop, they could have been asking for BI/Trey/and multiple picks. Or BI/1 of Herb or Dyson and 3 1sts,or some crazy high asks.
So maybe we could have had Scoot, but we don't know if it was ever a good trade for us, so simply complaining that we "could have had Scoot" is really lacking context and really disingenuous because no poster can say that as fact.

Yeah OP is off here. The Blazers have made Sharpe untouchable. They firmly believe he’ll be the franchise guy post Lillard (tho that changed when we went from picking 5th to 3rd and Scoot falling to us).

It’s too early to know much of anything about draft picks. Summer League has never been a very reliable indicator, as far as I can remember. Maybe I’m overlooking something. But anyway.

Its not an indicator at all. Just like preseason football, summer league is nothing more than entertainment to make money. A reason to go to Vegas in the summer.
