As a Michigan fan I “was” a fan of JPoole. He’s probably the best player we got in return pending the draft. He’s hot or cold.

He's only terrible if he's your #1 option. As a third option, he's very capable. He also can run the P&R offense and can handle ball pressure. Something we had issues with for years.

They did it for capspace while getting Bey and a 2nd round picks. There should still be more to come.

None of these players are lead guards, so i didn't include Jose and Zion. Lot of minutes at 1 position. Bey and Poole taking up 40 minutes on top of Herbs 30 and Hawkins, and Reeves 40.

Hawkins and Reeves are just guys at this point. They should not be considered in minutes rotation

I feel like the only reason to make this trade is if we already have something limed up for Murray/ Zion?
We just lost our 2 highest paid trade assets and essentially created holes instead of solving any (because CJ was going to play some PG).
So that leaves us with Herb/ Jose/ Hawk and a combined 25mil to add another player? Just doesn't make sense and we don't get better at all.
Has to be a bigger deal on the horizon
We also just traded our backup rotation big.
This trade makes the most sense to me as a foreshadowing for a Zion trade and I hope I'm right considering the new roster construction.
