Ford also controlled the ball and took mostly smart shots. Hawk was flying all over the damn place the last few minutes. No control, confidence, or leadership from our lead guy.

Ford’s shots went in. He took some deep threes that were questionable- they just went in. Hawkins has showed he can play nba minutes and score at a nba level. Ford has never shown this and likely never will. Comparing the two is not even a legit talking point. Hawkins has struggled but Ford is nothing special.

I get extreme Marcus Thornton and Jordan Crawford vibes from Hawk

Whitmore is better, but he also went 1-15 in SL, just yesterday

Hawkins is there to knock down catch and shoot 3s. 99% of his threes last season were assisted. At the end of the day, that’s all that’s going to matter with him. All this extra stuff is a work in progress

Go back to last season when he literally won us games with his shooting and scoring.

Missi is definitely not an NBA player right now, and won't be at all this season. He will be in the GL all year it seems.

Our whole season essentially comes down to getting quality minutes from 2 of Theis, Karlo and JRE

Which I get hes 20 and hasn’t played basketball for long. What I don’t get is if your Griff and you draft a project like this when you have desperate need for a NBA ready center right now.

I'm curious what going 5 out would do to other team's rotation choices. Say DJ/CJ/Hawk/Zion/Trey. Would they get killed on the boards and in the paint or run the other team's 7 footer off the court?

You have to run them off the court golden state style.

The problem is you don't have Steph and Klay

You also don’t have Draymond or a coach like Kerr.

Looks like we'll get a chance to see quite often this year.

Murray (32)/ (22) Jose/ Reeves
CJ (30) / (12) Hawk/ Ryan
This group can take just about all PG/ SG min even if you give Herb (5)min.

Herb (32)/ Trey (16)
Zion (32)/ Trey (16)
That's all of our SF/ PF minutes.

This does not include BI's minutes.... So realistically it looks like:

Murray (32)/ Jose (22)
CJ (30) / Hawk (12)
Herb (32)/ BI (16)
Zion(20)/ BI (12)/Trey(16)
Zion(12)/ Trey (16)/ Karlo(10)/ Theis(10)

Not sure how you split the minutes between Zion/ Trey with this current roster and Herb/ BI

He was picked 21. There isn't a lot of readymade talent there.

Which games would those be? He had a short stretch of hot shooting, then became nearly unplayable when other teams figured out that he was a turnstile.

Go look at the Dallas game. He singlehandedly won us that game without BI or Zion on the court. His hot shooting saved us early in the season until Willie benched him, not because he was unplayable but because he couldn’t properly manage the rotation.

You clearly love backups.

Seriously, though, you look past massive holes in Hawkins' and Murphy's games, then nitpick everything about BI's game. You're setting yourself up for massive disappointment.

Now apply the same logic to yourself but use BI. Again anything you say regarding BI can’t be taken seriously because you have this unhealthy attachment to him.
