Wonder if it’s Griff who is pushing for this?

Getting strong armed by Chicago for Lonzo and then being rumored to go all in on Lowry only to find out after you already made the Memphis deal that he already agreed to sign with MIA.

Maybe Big Griff is pissed.

I don't think it'll affect us at all. This is more about Chicago and Miami than it is about Toronto and New Orleans.

Last season the Kings didn’t lose anything with the Bodgan deal, the Bucks lost a second rounder. The Bucks didn’t end up with Bogdan though, I wonder what will happen to the Bulls.

evidently according to woj the league went easy on the bucks because they didn’t wind up signing the player. I doubt griffin is behind this, it doesn’t benefit the pels if CHi gets fined. The league cannot adjust the terms of the deal, they can only punish the team

How would y’all grade the off-season after we take Lowry into our $17m TPE and then bring back Lonzo on the qualifying offer?

Not even sure how the TPE works, but roll with it.

They wouldnt do it this late into free agency. If anything, It's going to be fines, assets, and/or suspensions.

If Griff was cheating, he’s not very good at that either.

If he is caught cheating, guess that means he can be fired with cause.

Reporting with @RamonaShelburne on ESPN: The NBA has opened up investigations into possible tampering violations involving two sign-and-trade deals completed in free agency: New Orleans and Chicago centered on Lonzo Ball, and Toronto and Miami centered on Kyle Lowry. Story soon.

well of course but that means the deal won’t happen.
but what they can’t do is make this deal any better for the pels (unless you think no deal and lonzo coming back is better)

I don't think the league would directly take a pick from the Bulls and give it to the Pels. But it did seem like the league directed/suggested the Sixers to overpay for Ish Smith in a trade with the Pels to make up for not properly disclosing Jrue Holiday's medical history. Probably the only semi realistic outcome that helps the Pels here is if the league suggests Chicago give the Pels a 1st or they'll lose a 1st.

I believe Milwaukee was the only team punished for tampering with Bogdonovich who at the time was a king

Cool, a S&T for Lauri where we give them a top 59 protected 2nd and they give us a lotto protected 1st.

If this results in us undoing the Lonzo deal with chicago and we get him back on the 4 yr 85, I would actually be pretty damn happy with our guard situation right now

We could just trade him at the deadline if we need to

Along those lines of trade being nixed, and we aren’t allowed to deal Zo to Chicago. Would a Zo-Buddy swap make sense. Talking on court fit and nothing financially at the moment.

Graham-Zo-Ingram-Zion-Val or

Graham-Buddy-Ingram-Zion-Val.

I like the thought of adding Buddy if the league can’t force Chicago to send back Zach Lavine as compensation for that attempted strong arm battery charges currently levied against the Bulls.
