No. He warned us of his intentions several months in advance so we could work out a deal and get something in return. As weird as it sounds, him demanding a trade was doing us a favor, rather than silently deciding to walk out on us in free agency next season with nothing to show for it. Columnists all over the nation know the real story, and they are calling out the league for it. No one is blaming Paul. No one will blame Paul.

Warned us of his intentions? Okay, so we try to trade him, only his team of merry buttlickers go around undercutting every deal that wasn't LA or NY. He didn't do the Hornets any favors and you people really need to let go of that argument.

"Yeah, I'll probably leave in 2 years, so you need to hurry up and trade me to get value, but here's the deal, I'll only sign with the Lakers or Knicks, and I'm going to let everyone else know as much so they refuse to offer market value. You can thank me later, guys."

I don't think any play would/should play in that situation. It's better for all parties involved if he just sits at home. I wish paul was staying, but I don't blame him at all if he never suits up as a Hornet again.

Well, for one, we had a deal in place for the Lakers, and the league ruined it. For two, Paul was reportedly going to opt in to a second year with the Clippers to help get that deal to work, which again, was ruined by the league.

If players want to go to a specific place they need to do what Bosh, James, and Stoudemire did.

This bs that Anthony, Paul, and Howard are trying to do is ruining the league. The big markets already have a built in advantage in getting free agents and spending money. We need to end this bs where the big market teams can get lopsided trades for superstars.

The LAL/Hou/NOLA deal was alright, but bullshite as the Lakers got a top 5 player, cap space, and kept their top 2 best assets on the team. The contracts and age of the players in the original deal did not put NOLA in a very good rebuilding state.

Now if the most recent LAC/NOLA trade actually included Gordan, Minny's 1st, Kama, and Aminu I think that is pretty close to fair for NOLA and its a great deal for the Clippers. I don't think throwing in Bledsoe would hurt the Clippers, but another pick might have been on the verge of a little much considering the situation.

I can't really completely judge Stern unless the deals are released. CP3 has no leg to stand on in court as he is under contract.

Okay, so one shitty deal got turned down, and they tried to submit another, slightly less shitty deal. I'm sorry, I'd rather rebuild from scratch and rebrand than have two teams dump their bad contracts on us.

Why? Do you really not recognize the media bias at play? Half of the guys reporting on this are personal friends with the Chrissy Poo.

So you would rather us just sit, keep Chris Paul, let his contract expire in the offseason, and use that cap space to sign FAs? Yeah, that would work if people actually wanted to go to the Hornets. You're not getting anyone of Eric Gordon's caliber in FA. You could potentially get a superstar from a draft pick. Neither of which would happen if we just sit and let Paul's contract expire. That's a very irrational method to go about rebuilding.

Who controls publicity? Who controls the league image? That's right, the media. Bias or not, the media has a ton of power here and they are going to continue to pound on the league.

Okay. Fair enough. Let the sheep believe what they want. I'm not one of those sheep, though. I know that Chrissy Poo put us in the situation that we are in and people will eventually wake up to that.

So, you can't get anyone of Gordon's caliber, but you can get players of CP's caliber in FA? That makes no sense. Oh, wait, I get it. Only the Hornets are incapable of attracting free agents.

As of now, that's exactly right.

Agents have stopped talking to our front office because the NBA brass have taken over things.

Cool. Right or wrong, you're in the minority. The league couldn't care less about the minority.

Huh? When did I say we could get a player of CP's caliber in FA? What would a big name player be attracted to in New Orleans?

Some of you people have to be utterly retarded. I am serious.

Oh no. The big bad commish is killing our team. Well, if not for the commish and the league buying the Hornets, NOLA wouldn't have a team. Paul is being a total bitch in this whole process and has done absolutely nothing, and I mean nothing to help the team.

The Lakers/Rockets deal was utterly pathetic, but people can't see anything further than 1 inch past their face. The deal was bullshite for multiple reasons. It tied the hornets hands with bad contracts. The best player in the deal is only signed for 2 years and will cost a fortune in those 2 years. The Lakers give up Pau and Odom and that's it? Really?

The league is utter shite because of these very types of trades being allowed to happen.

I hate Stern, but he made the right call blocking those jokes of trades, and other Owners had every right to bitch when they are carrying the Hornets Franchise and paying their bills.

But keep knighting for a pretentious prick in Paul that decided to get mixed up with a pathetic collection of dumbasses that are ruining the league. It suits you morons well.

You really believe we won't get anything? You think he will walk away from 40+ million to make a point or stick it to the team?

So accepting a shitty deal, just to get something, is fine even if it hampers the team long term? Would you like a legit owner? Well, the product has to be worth something.

Why should the league and owners currently bailing this team out lose money? The only reason the team is operational right now is because of them. Do you think their intention is to really destroy the Hornets and costs themselves millions in the process?

Some of you people are just priceless. The Hornets can trade his arse until mid February at least, and teams that think they have a legitimate shot will likely be more desperate to take his arse then and offer more. If the team is going to suck anyway and most of you geniuses are hoping the team is just awful so they can get a top pick, what difference does it make WHEN they trade him?
