Are we still pretending the shortcomings in Zion’s career and professionalism are the fault of anyone other than Zion?

No kidding there is no relationship. You threw down dunks at shoot around of an elimination game and then told the reporter “nah I just don’t feel like playing”

If the team were trading Zion, there would not be all these continuous leaks about how worthless he is.

If the Pels were going to trade Zion, would they have been leaking that he has a very low value in the league, that he's not a leader, not a good teammate, etc.?

Yeah, I’ve been trying to figure out the source/reason for this leak. Especially if Shams is correct in saying Charlotte prefers BI.

Shams could be wrong and this is more Charlotte leaking to get Zion. But it’s starting to feel like a coordinated campaign to get Zion in line with the Pels. Move TSpoon and then leak this to force him to forge new relationships on the team.

Sure. This is the way to make an already immature and possibly disgruntled player to get his act together lol

Ehh. Needing content to talk about is definitely a big part of hyping this. Get Up was doing the same Zion segment every 30 minutes this morning. Perk was trying to put James Harden on the Lakers a few times this week. They're running on fumes with basketball over. Not at all an accident that the Ja news broke this morning with Woj right at the top of First Take.

It's not us, it's him. JJ Redick also said Zion was an absentee teammate. Zion is just an aloof guy who doesn't know how to have real relationships or commitments. He would be like that with whatever organization or team

Which part do you believe isn’t true?

Well, we've heard Zion isn't available, so you're saying that's true, correct?

don’t get the sense that he hangs out with anyone outside of the facility though, outside of CJ and Larry Nance probably forcing a Vet lead meet up for dinner here and there.

Which strikes me as odd considering how close he was with his college teammates, & half his rookie year this team was loaded with Blue Devils.

So is it "all true" or just the parts you want to believe?

He's been coddled. That hasn't worked out for us. Instead of giving up, maybe it's time to try a different approach. Sometimes, tough love works.

In todays NBA when has tough love ever worked? in fact it leads to the superstar asking out so they can be coddled by another team.

Probably deserves it's own thread or it'll come soon but Shamit is working on an article detailing Zion's contract, and Shamit tweeted that the Pels will have "no long term financial obligations" if Zion remains injured going forward.

That definitely strengthens the argument to not make him available for trade.

When you posted it's "all true" you quoted someone stating the media is trying to force a Zion trade, kinda hard to argue you weren't talking about trades then.

Why’s this so hard to keep up with?

I was referring to the op being all true. There’s no need for the media to try and make things up to force a trade when the facts are just as bad.
